Fuck, dont get me started on Australia. I remember i very almost got arrested for crossing an empty street at 2am because the light on the pedestrian crossing hadnt lit up yet telling me to go.

I didnt realise at the time how fucking retarded oz cops were, there was a cop the other side of the street, I didnt even think about pressing the button to cross, i just kept walking - LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE DO ON EMPTY ROADS LATE AT NIGHT - but the cop stopped me and asked me what I was doing, I was like, im going home, why? He said I didnt wait for the light to tell me to walk.

He was dead fucking serious and angry. He looked at me like some sort of trouble-maker. I couldnt comprehend what was happening to I got cheeky and argumentative. He was ready to cuff me, I was ready to have to run. In the end he let me go with a fucking warning.

I couldnt live under those rules. Not being allowed to cross a street when you want to. That was actually the one thing that stood out the most as weird in Australia, how much people pay attention to those pedestrian crossing. Like Nobody ever goes before the light tells them too. They all wait, like sheep. Even if theres no cars. Your weird if you go before.

Im used to not paying attention to where I have to cross roads by foot, no one gives a fuck here, we capable of crossing roads ourself without the orders of the government.

He almost achieved a police state, before he fucked up and details of his electoral fraud became public.

The police in Queensland during his time as Premier regular beat anyone they wanted like the shit was ok.

He also tried to cordon off all the aboriginal people in the state into one area of state owned land.

He ejected medical practitioners who were trying to treat them, allowed mining on aboriginal sacred land and generally tried to eliminate aboriginals altogether.

He of course received a state funeral upon his death, and the admiration of all politicians.

He is an Australian hero.

Yeh its fucked man, i doubt they would ever implement the ID card system though, there would definitely be a public outcry.

The weed reclassification really fucked me off, i still blaze on road now and again and forget its gone up to class B, then again a lot of nuclear skunk been going around screwing a lotta peoples heads up, i don't think reclassification was the right choice though.

The racism here probably stems from the composition of the population.

Even though there is a huge migrant population, there is still a great sense of xenophobia.

Once first generation migrants become entrenched here, they adopt the same mentality as the rest of the public, which is one of start opposition to immigration.

There is an ever present feeling here that immigrants not only 'steal' jobs but additionally that they have a propensity to became involved in terrorism and crime.

Not to mention the disgusting historical and current treatment of aboriginal people.

Much like the US in some respects, Australia was founded via invasion.

Since then, there has always been the 'native problem', where you have the rest of the population living in 1st world conditions, while aboriginals still live in 3rd world communities.

It's just out of sight here, not many people care enough to do anything, and those who do find it impossible given the extent of the problem. It was allowed to fester for so long, that it's now impossible to solve.
