thats not the Jigsaw puzzle as was leaked in 09 it looks to have all the tracks except a couple one well know the other completely unknown have been omitted and others not on the 09 drop but have been released on other projects from 714 hardcore click members. what is interesting is the piano drop freestyle track of Alka that is packaged with the cd or can be purchased seperatly
Hey Lotec just out of interest could you post the tracklisting for the '09 version then please? Or is that just the 1st CD of that "Alcatraz - Welcome to Alcatraz (The Jigsaw Puzzle Mixtape) ('10)"? Does this Shaka version contain the old short snippet tunes that were leaked years ago? Also I can't believe that awful "Freestyle Flows" tune would be included on any proper release. I was expecting a few more unheard tunes on this release but seems there are only maybe 3 or 4 tunes that I haven't seen leaked or on other Professional (Pro The Leader) Releases? I ordered the Piano Drop CD, so hopefully there will be some more unheard stuff on there. Also it says there are more unused tunes for this release on the B-Side to the vinyl release of Piano Drop, no idea what they could be and I won't be parting with $100!!! to find out either, so hopefully they get leaked to at some point.
Actually Freestyle Flows isn't the worst, I was thinking of that Pavement Raps Freestyle from the Warcloud Professional Collabo Archive Vol 2
well Im think Im going to let the mystery of the Alkatraz Jigsaw Puzzle remain, I don't want to be the one to spoil it. But I'll say this 7 tracks have been added maybe one more, it could be a renamed tracked tho, also 2 tracks have been omitted for sure.................The original release in 09 was the version that Holo wanted, I don't know if Holo knew about it being sold. Nova-kane sold the album to a forum member that went in with another member to purchase the mp3's. It has been passed around in trade but those that hold it have never leaked it in all these years. Now this new track list could be Holo approved I have no idea.
Thanks for the additional info Lotec, intriguing. Shaka claims this is how Holo wanted it, then again Shaka is also the one who put that "Signature of Solitude" tune on the CD version of The Nightmares Resurface CD Re-Issue, which I believe isn't even Holo, but an old tune that has been on youtube etc for years by a Holo soundalike, and the tune has been replaced on the digital version for "Solice of Solitude", haha.
I love a bit of mystery with Warcloud though, just adds to the myth, and makes tracking down all his works even more rewarding for the listeners who appreciate him.
He should release physical copies of this album
That may very well be true, Im not disputing Shaka. Now there are two versions, the 09 version was definitely what Holo wanted at the time because it has two tracks that are odd, one does not even feature Holo, the other is well known and on a commercial release. So I wouldn't bother worrying about acquiring those. I didn't know that about the Nightmares cd re-issue lol
I found this track list on YouTube from a few years ago, not sure if this was the original/accurate track list or not
01 Whoops, Im and Indian
02 Welcome to Alkatraz
03 Track 3
04 Can Control (Sobretti)
05 Bluntz, Martinis, Girls and Gunz
06 Back Alley Tea Party (Hop Scotch)
07 WarGhost Expedition
08 Cold American Beach
09 Green Lantern Reservoir District
10 Paralysis Pharmacies
11 DeadTime Stories (Saluting Apple Sandwiches)
I completely missed a few years ago that the original album was sold to forum members...that's crazy, I always thought no one has heard it
more than a few years, I've probably had it for close to 10 years now. I'm surprised how well the forum members have kept it from spreading around really
Edit: Out of respect of maintaining the lure of the original Jigsaw Puzzle after seeing the post from LoTec, I have omitted the tracklisting of the 2009 release.
This was released with the pre-order of "Jigsaw Puzzle." Enjoy "Insane Asylum", aka "LA Shipwreck Patriot."
Where can a broke brotha get this
WARGHOST EXPEDITION!
WARGHOST EXPEDITION!
After giving it some consideration, I think that this isn't Holo approved, I quite possibly may be wrong. I'll reserve judgment until after I listen to the smoke a donut eat a cigarette track, the intro and the freestyle flow with Vulgar and Krow. It is extremely odd that Holo would add "As Unpleasant as it Seems Happiness Alludes Me" it was recorded for Pros Laboratory, Vulgar references the album name in his verse and the title is straight Pro. That being said Holo is extremely odd so theres that.
Peace. Word, I was thinking likewise, my g. The "Smoke A Donut" joint could be a version of "Castle Freak" that we've never heard before, and Holo included it as a finalizing piece of The Puzzle. Or it could simply be the "Stone Boneyard" mix remastered by Shaka. The same applies to the "Freestyle Flows" joint. It could just be the session from the Collabo Archives, or an unearthed session we've yet to hear.
As you've said LoTec, what implies the lack of Holo's consent or involvement in the release of this project to me as well, is the inclusion of "Unpleasant As It Seems." A Pro's Lab joint, replacing original Puzzle pieces like "Deadtime Stories", doesn't add up as being valid to me.
I understand the Sobretti joint "Can Control" being removed from the project, due to the falling out that occurred between Sobretti and The Poets, but to exclude an Alcatraz joint from the original Puzzle release, seems like a shortsighted error on the part of Shaka due to lack of insight from Holo.
As said though, Holo is very odd, so this could just be an unorthodox alteration to the project. However, Shaka did also include "Signature Of Solitude" on the re-release of "Nightmares Resurface", which has been proven for years to be a Holo imposter, and replaced it with Holo's verse on "Introducing Chaos" from "Theater Of Pain" after reading this forum and discovering it wasn't Holo.
So it is possible that this release of "Jigsaw Puzzle" is merely a cash-grab exploiting Holo.
Is stone BoneYard what they call the Castle Freak of Bone Romania demo that floated around for a bit? Thats what I was thinking Smoke a Donut and Eat a Cigatrette is as well, I would buy the project if I didn't already have most of the tracks if not all of them, perhaps Ill purchase the ones I don't. Piano Drop tho........
lmao at all this discussion about this dumb shit
Indeed it is. I'm thinking it's going to be remastered on this version of Jigsaw Puzzle as Smoke A Donut, as well. It'll also be dope to hear a mixed version of Razor And A Bat that doesn't sound like it was salvaged from a waterlogged tape. I had to cop the Jigsaw Puzzle wax for Insane Asylum & Warghost Expedition. Having those gems on wax is a dream come true. It's also great to finally be able to share them with the public, and give the less interconnected Alcatraz/Wu supporters newly unearthed joints to vibe to.
I feel that. Piano Drop sounds phenomenal. A 25 minute masterpiece from the impeccable Alcatraz! If there's still copies available later this week, I'm definitely copping the Piano Drop CD. If not, then I'm copping the digital file the day it drops. Regardless, I'm ecstatic to embark on this sonic journey with The God Alcatraz.
Check out Piano Drop on Apple Music
Now that the Jigsaw is officially out there, any chance we can get an upload of Deadtime Stories? also, I have the instrumental if any would like to trade.

Someone needs to post the tracklist to Side B. Can't afford to get this right before Christmas.
Deadtime Stories is an unreleased Alcatraz joint featured on the original Alcatraz envisioned Jigsaw Puzzle release from 2005. No idea why Shaka excluded it. That was a foolish move. I haven't heard the "Jigsaw Puzzle sampler" b side of the Piano Drop vinyl, though. It could be featured on there. Weapon Factory is referenced throughout the Jigsaw Puzzle, but unfortunately does not appear on the album. The references to the track lead me to believe it was initially intended for Jigsaw Puzzle. I've always longed to hear the original Skarekrow produced mix of Weapon Factory, though. It sounds like White Lotus matched an Alcatraz accapella that was recorded during the Jigsaw Puzzle era, to his beat.
The vinyl version of Jigsaw Puzzle now contains deatime stories and weapon factory.

Deadtime Stories has been unearthed. Y'all can now forgo paying the outrageous price of $150 for one song... It was foolish to exclude this joint stemming from Alcatraz' original vision of The Jigsaw Puzzle in the first place:
That sucks your vinyl is jacked up. How is the original weapon factory?

This is a poor vinyl rip of the original Weapon Factory. Let me know if the link works.
Peace. Anytime, my g! The "Deadtime Stories" upload is straight from the original bootleg Jigsaw Puzzle CD. Likewise, thank you for the rip of the OG Weapon Factory. The link worked for me, and the track is absolute fire! ALCATRAZ, ALCA-ALCATRAZ!
It's a welcomed surprise to see the OG Weapon Factory finally unearthed, I'm surprised Shaka had access to it. That's wack to hear about your vinyl though, g. Hope you can get a replacement sent asap. $150 is still a ridiculous price to have to pay for an exclusive original Weapon Factory mix and an excluded piece of the Jigsaw Puzzle, when the original 14 track vinyl was $60. Infinite gratitude for sharing your rip of Weapon Factory, knowing how much you put into it.
The original Weapon Factory beat fits the album a little more to me than the American Poets version...I Fuck with this
Thanks again Jason...very dope of you to share
anyone got a re-up on that OG version of weapon factory? lol
I'm actually curious if BSOM ever made Jason1980 whole again or at least refunded for the vinyl. I'd be losing my shit spending that much money on a record that was that jacked up
When they released The Orphanage, I thought it might be a legit collection. But after listening and scanning the FLAC files I could clearly see that BSOM was nothing more than a bootleg front. Fuck 'em.
Later I saw 4th went wild. He did not authorize that release at all. So hearing about a 130$ vinyl release that is just bad MP3's pressed onto vinyl is even worse.
