We can hang out in other countries, I’m keen for a Central American exploration trip for a few months but I wouldn’t go to the US unless I was paid about $100k and my trip was paid for by someone else. There is nothing interesting to see or do there and nothing of historical significance plus the women are fat, food and beer is shit.

My ultimate trip is a road trip thru South, Central, and rural North America.
My ultimate goal is to take a year off work and fly in to Mexico City and make my way down to Buenos Aires via everywhere including Cuba and Jamaica. I don't even think 12 months would be enough time to properly do South America let alone South America, Central America & Mexico. I was planning for 3 months in Mexico and I don't even think that's enough time.
Once I do that trip I can get planning on my Middle Eastern tour of Iran, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey and a cheeky stay in Morocco. After that I'm not sure, maybe Africa? Central & Eastern Europe? Not really keen on Asia but maybe Vietnam and Cambodia could be done. I wouldn't mind checking out New Zealand but I can see myself getting bored over there for any time longer than 2 weeks.
India and the US are the only two places I would never go, ever.

I asked if he was gonna do a roadie or what, and he said it's no good over there cos you need different insurance for each country, and you can only sell your vehicle in the country you buy it from. That's a bit of a bummer, cos if I ever do my trip there that's def how I'd be looking to do it. I'm all about living on the road when I travel.
Some other mates of mine flew over to the US some years ago, bought a van, and did a trip down through south America. I think they just discarded their van at the end of it though. They've been to Morocco too, and dug it.
