Thats a dope ass magazine cover. Guessing its from France?
I was watching a 2008 DVD put out by Cappadonna and he's super happy in it to be back in the Wu Tang as an official member for the 8 Diagrams tour. But there's one part where he's in Staten Island on the block being super defensive and hanging with thugs he grew up with and he says a line like, "Don't ever say my hood don't love me" as if he had beef with others claiming it.
I think Cappa might've been isolated over his manager being an informant. Doesn't really reflect bad on Cappa since even 50 Cent got jerked by this same guy. Dudes might've looked at him funny for a while until it was proven it was a mistake. Can't find the dates on when this manager worked for him to. Just another theory.
Iron Flag is better than there last 2..everyone was still some what sounding like themselves...Rae and Ghost fr..
The other way round is probably more accurate.
8 Diagrams is an odd one for me, it's kinda got the wu sound but sounds more like a movie soundtrack that a group album.
A Better Tomorrow sounds like a group that came out of retirement to make an album when they shouldn't have lol
RZA was heavily working on soundtracks around the release of 8 Diagrams, and my guess is he actually wanted to go for that big ass sound. Bringing in musicians to play parts, going for some special recording of the voices. The sound was not appreciated. There is the whole back & forth with Rae & Ghost about RZA going into this more epic sound, and them wanting banging beats. (Ghost releasing his own album on the same date.) Which led to Rae doing Shaolin vs Wu-Tang.
I don’t have the pic or a link to the shoot, but I did see the whole (or at least a majority) photo shoot last summer. They did a ton of shots with the flag, different poses, one replicating the exact stance of Raising The Flag On Iwo Jima. Various other shots. Individual shots of members in front of a giant W. Lots with Cap, group shots and individual shots.
Iron Flag album and The W album photo shoots were both done on the same day. Probably saved them cost/time on sets, all they had to do was outfit changes.
Lots of dope outtakes from both. Great group outtakes from The W in that factory. Individual black and white ones in there too that were great.
It explains why Cap was airbrushed off Iron Flag cover. He was in good standings on The W, only on two tracks but not listed as a “feature”. Then, exactly one year passes in between each album, and things are different. Whether that’s personal or business, I’m not sure. But the photo shoot was already done a year before the album, so they just removed him.
Wasn't the Iron Flag shoot originally for a magazine? As with the one they used for 8 Diagrams.
The Cappa story seemed to be business, since his manager was supposed to be a fed.
Him and Ghost shared the same manager so...

Thought it had to do with the fact he was fighting witj divine over solo money at razah sharpe so they just pushed his second album (stripping rzas tracks) and “best of” to get him off label which ended anyway.
plus i know cap said he was dabbling wiyj drugs a lot. Idk if it had anything to do with that.
i think ive mentioned it before. Maybe it was from world according to rxa but i seen rza on a tour bus shitting on cap ina. Way i never seen him do any wu before. He seemed very mad at cap. Dont remember specifics tho.
Thanks for the link.
Mics & Men has that scene where Cappa is arguing with Divine about numbers sold & numbers shipped if I recall correctly. Cappa was supposed to get a bonus with X within Y, but unclear if it was shipped or sold. Will watch the doc series again, because that is shortly after The Pillage. The W gets released with him in the fold as an official member 2 years later, and a year later he is gone.
