With NFT they can easily shut it down too if it doesn't get enough donations. But to me this scam is set up to fail, expecting millions of people to donate for an album that has been riddled with controversy and secrecy is bound to fail. And unfortunately that has not changed, nobody from the Wu-Tang side is promoting it or even acknowledging it, there's no serious attempt by PleasrDAO to give us the information that we need and we are entitled to if you expect us to endorse this. And you would think Cilvaringz or RZA at least would care enough to make this a big deal. Since that hasn't happened, that to me indicates they don't give a shit about the fans hearing this. So I agree with josborne, why should we enjoy any of this circus that it continues to be? I will be relieved in a few weeks when this is out of my head again. Then hear about it again in 2034, 2044 etc. Unless Martin leaks the original, there's very little to look forward to since they will not release this in original form. Hence it's a scam on several fronts.

First of all, RZA and Cilvaringz literally have nothing to do with this roll out. Like, literally. Other than fixing a few samplers, it’s all pretty much the PleasrDAO show and I only understand about 30% of what’s going on.

Two, your posts everywhere seem too obsessed with this scammy not-enough-Clan-to-qualify-mixtape that instead of saying you don’t care about it, you obviously do so very much.

if samples changed, i never really heard it so i dont care. Like i said in other thread not a fan of the big sword epic style of wu beats most the time. And they didn't record over og beats anyway so its all ringz in first place Long as its hot in the end and it comes out. Thats all I care about. The sampler deck track is dope in that vibe. If butchers changed, like i said i loved it so not automatic thinking its gonna be worse lol.

if yall want such a specific wu sound make ya own albums like strum dapo and me.

I get why some people are bitter and angry, but guilt tripping Cilva isn’t going to work. The project is beyond him now. Just go along for the ride. I’m curious to see how things end up. I’m not much of a gimmick guy, but the Wu hasn’t gotten this much attention in a long while. I’m having friends who don’t even listen to the Wu texting me about this project because it’s peaked their interest

Dude you know what I meant, there's no sale here, no music...for now it's just a sampler. Expecting people to buy something that will not release in their lifetime is just silly. This whole thing was setup not to get it to us. And it's exactly to your point, there's 230k people already in, yet the needle hasn't moved even an inch. And on your end, aside from some public events, there's been zero promotion so who's we? Where's the intent to really market and promote this to the masses so it actually can reach the tens of millions it needs?

At the end of the day, Dirty still had to eat. Just look how he signed with Roc-A-Fella. At that point he felt left out of the family. RZA had to release him from his Wu-Tang Management (?) contract, as Dirt wished. AS far as I know, there were many plans to bring this to the public. Sadly that did not work out with Shkreli. So would he still not approve? Furthermore, the music would be literally for the children, or the children of children.

Something else though, Divine could have started a Wu pension fund for everyone with that original set up of contracts and the money always coming back. Setting aside how the accounting was actually done, or rather the questionmarks it raised over the years. The system they had in place sounded pretty good.

5. If they want to reach the audience, why there's zero promotion and marketing behind this? A physical release would definitely help.

Honestly its a 5 minute sampler. Not a single. A single is a full song. A sampler is samples of the album to get the vibe on it.

Otherwise the sampler sounds great, really enjoyed what I heard so far.

I feel like the Pleasr peeps are still feeling this thing out, there’s no way they were going to have 28 million buyers in less than a week. As a fan, this is better than nothing even if it takes 20 years.. health issues aside I’ll PROBABLY still be alive. 88 years was a guarantee of me chilling as a Ghost listing to this thing. Haha

This is better than nothing but i do believe there’s more to this story than what is on the surface.

I think we will have the full album sooner rather than later, just have fun with it. There is no reason to still be upset about this album 10 years on.

The indisputable fact: Ringz produces Wu-Tang music in 2010 and beyond better than RZA and any other Wu-Element. In my opinion.. Does that mean it is marketable music that will sell like Wu-Tang Forever did in 1997?? Nope, at best the Clan can sellout arenas in a joint tour with Nas and this is their peak. They aren’t magically going to become high selling artists. Even if we get a dream album, they just won’t - this is 2024.
