^ dont forget breaker,breaker(remix)..phat track.
and the 1st verse on no said date is fuckin sick too.
high price, small reward
GZA- Niggas so stingy they got short arms 'n deep pockets...
Not sure if this is his best but I'm surprised no one has brought up assassination day.
mysterry of chessboxin
ya assassination day, the table (way too ill, that fucking beat is perfect for masta), friction, 5 star generals, chessboxin, winter warz, execute them, everything on 8 diagram. as a matter of fact it is rare to hear a shit verse from masta, he is def one of my favorites.
spazzola."brain gets punctured and drained from the nasal"
the man with superb, iron flag, this can go on forever
Mystery of Chessboxin
Mantis
1112
Sound of the Slum
Execute them
Mystery of Chessboxin
ARE CLASSICS TO THE FULLEST
Plus i think his verse on Rushing Elephants is the best verse of 8D
to me, his all-time shit is chessboxin, which i think he has the best output of all the clan on that record... that bein said, i sometimes wonder if what he's droppin for current joints arent old 97' style lyrics forwarded onto a current beat/track... ive read many places that MK took soo long to drop a debut cuz of tryin to not let down the wu-fandom... in any case, i found his style even deeper with his debut shit, and got some shit to decipher with his soph album... either way...
masta has blessed us with some shit that will never be repeated nor depleted.. check his shit on Triumph... 2nd best stepout next 2 Deck... "the dumb are mostly intriqued by the drum".... i wish i had a damn nickel every time ive spit that flow, randomly wherever im at, work, school, or whatever...
he didnt shine on streetcorners, the way Deck and Genius grabbed it and spun out... but i like the fact he got the cats 2 come thru the way Ghost an Rae did D.T.D... they straigyht killed that shit an fuck whoever disagrees...
either way, masta is a general, taught by the best (GZA) and he developed his own way,... although i feel it has fell off a bit, perhaps cuz he waited soo long to drop an album... but i will say his debut album No Said Date provided hope to those of us real wu-mufuks for the simple fact rza dint score the shit an it turnt out nice...
alright im done ramblin, fornow...
Proceed with caution as you enter the symphony
Degrees of pulse will increase intensely
Syndrome was caused by the deadly drums
But the battle was won by swords being swung
Slicing with a vocal
From the international vocalist
Ya style is too local
To fuck with this
All fits of antagonists
No assistance movin motionless
Mysterious swiftness
Thoughts roll down the shaft of the brain
Mental gives the signal to the physical
Whirlwind kicks and hits from every angle
Violent temperments
Uncountenance dented
Poison vintage wine rhymes I invented
Chumped by the drunken punches that punches the heart
Vital sparks from the arteries start
be careful when you listen to the tracks
because your heartbeat will increase
RZA's beats do mad damage
but the battle was won from the lyrics
ill rhymes from a famous nation-known MC
but you're such a local MC to be fucking with Masta Killa
(all fits of antagonists? idk what to interpret)
moving so swift it's like he's not moving?
the tracks make you think and when you think,
the thoughts move from your mind to actually feeling it
and it feels like getting whirlwind kicked all over your body
and you start acting violent and your facial expression changes
from the deadly and supreme rhymes he invented
(chumped by the drunken punches that punches the heart
Vital sparks from the arteries start? i don't know that either)
I tried my best. dude has CRAZY fucking metaphorical skill
MK's illest verse:
Do the knowledge to a nigga named Frigga
Bad rude boy from the land of Jamaica
With visions to venture, to the US
To receive the gold that he couldn't acheive
In his country, even though he sold mad weed
For the next man, who was the don of the clan
Niggaz actin like they got the block locked
Like I can't sling drug raps and eat food
But I be the rudest, bad boy steppin gun totin
Shots lash out like a violent explosion
At the nigga, who tries to stop my production
Intervene the scene and slow up the cream
None of that black, east New York, gun talk
Niggaz I extort from Baltic to Boardwalk
Memories of injuries wounds and burns
Walkin through the streets of Medina I stand firm
Because I know this, which means I can hold mine down
Without a doubt, niggaz who front, get snuffed out
Justice must be born there's no escape
Because a snake can't be reformed so I wait
Comin in the name to proclaim your fame for protection
And you don't know no fuckin lessons?
Chessboxing, Winter Warz, Wu-Gambinos and Severe Punishment for me.
glaciers of ice/or any verses from odb's first album
any verse from the first round of solo projects
always greatly appreciated MK but that westwood freestyle with mef and uey, has pissed me right off, MK was wack. sad but true..
Not his best but I love his verse on Kiss The Ring, great verse to end an amazing album
"You rap cats had ya last win, toast to kings, it's Wu-Tang it's our thing, kiss the ring"
Such a perfect line to be the last on the record
Assassination Day
War is extremely serious and it saddens me
To have to take tings to deadly measures
And have you measured and shot for no pay
It's assassination day I stalk my enemy like prey
Tranked by deceptional sounds that deceives
And lures MC's to the lair
With a mic-like bait, then awaits to be bitten by greed
Temptation tempts my victim to proceed
Forward, ignorance wouldn't allow retreat
You'd rather pursue DEATH than admit defeat
Now who's best to describe for what I specialize in
Murdereous rhymin, constantly in climbin
My mind spits with an enormous kickback
Your brain didn't absorb the impact
Disorderly conduct from the crowd is the feedback...
For a long time having Masta on a track was, in my eyes, a sure fire guarantee the track was gonna be a Wu Banger. Ninja style from the mysterious General. All the classic been mentioned on the thread but in particular Assassination Day and Execute Them are as dark as Wu gets and Masta just slices them to bits. Check the solos and search out a dud Masta collaboration. Not easy. First one I can recall not liking was that joint on BDR but I'm sure there were probably earlier ones.
Mad underated dude.
1112 or Wu Gambinos I am thinking.....so many great ones though.
Execute Them is crazy too
What about "Wolves"?
GZA's Beneath The Surface album is has some of the best-written Wu-Tang verses. Masta Killa's "1112" verse might be his best, and is better than most members' best. The Killah Priest verse on "Beneath The Surface" might be the best Wu-Tang verse ever.
Check his part on "Illusions":
Intriguing to the ear but bitter to the heart
I begin to take part in the art of dart throwing
Starring the Wu-Tang swordsmen
Raindrops fall the block remains hot
Steam rises from the streets which form the clouds that I move through
Renew my stainless sword style
Allah has spoken
The golden code of silence has been broken
Mic terrorist
Shroom brew wickedness improves
As I ascend and expand, extend I seen men
Fall from grace tryin' to trace the origin
But there's no beginning or end to the lifeline
Sunz of Man forever shine through the mic line
His verse on Afu-Ra's "Mortal Kombat" is nice too.
