i've not tried the sezchuan, but beef or chicken in black bean sauce with green peppers is one of my favourite dishes. :p

I was just saying that westerners usually are put off by the thought of eating monkey brains, and if given the opportunity, we probably wouldn't.

as far as monkey brains go, I've had this conversation with a few ppl, and the way I look at it, almost all the food humans eat would be gross to them if they weren't conditioned to eat it at a young age.

think if nobody ate meat for the past 500 years and out of nowhere somebody comes up and offers you a hot dog and says 'here this is processed animal guts' you'd probably tell them to get lost.

No.... We did waaaay back in the day when my great grandma was alive. I remember the smelts being the only thing I liked. I was probably 8 or so. Ya know that generation that was too old for even world war 2. After that I think my grandma was like fuck it.

This year we had homemade sauce with all the meat, and some ham and potatoes. No chicken because my other aunt spent Christmas in Columbus with my cousin. And my other aunt and uncle spent it on the Bahamas.....which pissed Grandma off, her only boy not benign there.

Come to think of it we didn't have the eggplant this year. Fuck. I didn't even notice. It was a scaled down Christmas.

No 7 fish dinner.

The woman is having her family over, so I’m going to skip a trip out to the Snowbelt during a snowstorm and stay right at home for once.

I think we got prime rib, rigatoni and meatballs and a ham on the menu.

I don’t know I’ll be sitting in my recliner watching the Browns try to go perfect until it’s time to eat or I gotta take some trash out or lift something.

Heading to my in-laws as we speak. A lot of BBQ, so I'm with it. Wish I hadn't ate earlier today.

Christmas must be a completely different experience in warm weather. That would be great to be able to fire up the grill.

I recently saw Tango and Cash for the first time.

I’ve developed a real fetish for cop movies made in the mid to late 80’s.

Also saw To Live and Die in LA for the first recently.

Plus those early Segal movies were great bad movies.
