Willie D rose from his chair and struck the dancer in the eye and nose with his fist, causing her to fall to the floor. The dancer got up and attempted to defend herself with her shoe, but Willie D's bodyguard held her arms while he struck her in the face four or five more times. He stopped hitting her when employees of the club told him to leave. The dancer was unconscious, and the police and an ambulance were summoned. As a result of the assault, the dancer's nose was fractured, her face was bruised and swollen, and she later complained of blurred vision and headaches. Willie D was sentenced to 120 days confinement and a $ 1,000 fine.
