Sombody tell Finnegan and Johnson that this isn't the streets.
i never understood why when someone gets pounded like that they get up laughing. it's like they're saying, yeah, i can't fight, but my head is harder than your fist
Apart from the QB, NFL has to be one of the easiest sports to learn how to play and master. In terms of learning curve. Not talking about tactics, which are admittedly highly complex, but actually playing the sport, is rather primitive. Half of the team just have to stand there and be fat and push against another fat gut, for the whole game. The others just have to run, and catch a ball, and avoid other people who are running and trying to catch a ball.
In terms of ball skill levels, its low. In terms of physical astuteness and body control though, its high. Theres not much in sport like the sight of a WR or RB in full flow dogging anything coming his way with instant reactions combined with improvisation and physical agility mixed with strength. But this is something youre born with mostly. Like I said, apart from QBs, you cant really practise this sport to extreme levels of mastery and touch in the same way you can with Soccer, Hockey or Basketball.
Im saying this because I love watching NFL, but I dont understand when people like vandelay and Tooch compare sports, like this one is better than that. Its just retarded. I like socccer and NFL for completely seperate reasons.
Tough time for the Giants fans but right now its GO BEARS and with a win all will be fine for one more week in GLand.
^^ u avoiding me man. U fear me. Ha.
No I seen your message but I was trying to do the rounds because right now I am taking some lumps because my teams are playing like ass but it's straight because I root for the greatest teams in the universe. Talk to me, Queen. What do you have to say? That Osi was 1 half an inch away from swatting that 4th and 1 Vick handoff to Mccoy that went for the game winner back about ten yards behind the line and would've sealed the deal for the Giants? It was a close game and you better not think the Iggles are so high and mighty.
Other than Vick's run in from like 5 yards out for his only TD, we shut him down and you know it. The Bears are doing it now. We showed that Vick is still Vick.
football is much harder of a sport to master than you think. players come out of college and ride the bench for a year or 2 until they learn it. and those players are just as fat or fast as the current ones. it has nothing to do with talent, but actually learning the game.
jerry rice was the best receiver ever, but he wasn't the fastest or strongest. he ran a better route than any receiver that ever played the game. that was something he practiced and learned to do.
wide receivers don't just run to oak tree and cut inside. some plays have 2 or 3 different possible routes depending on what the defense does and the receiver needs to recognize what is going on as far as what kind of coverage (zone, man to man (no homo), etc.)and or blitzing is going on at the snap of the ball.
offensive lineman aren't just fat guys who block the guy immediately in front of them. pass and run blocking are 2 completely different talents that usually take a player coming out of college a year or 2 to learn.
offensive linemen have to recognize blitz packages and know which of the 11 guys on the field that they are to block on that particular play. pulling guards need to know which linebacker or lineman they are responsible for when they come around the tackle.
other than the quarterback, the offensive lineman are usually the smartest players on the field, not just big fat guys.
How about Buffallo giving Pitts a fight today? I told ya'll the NFL was pretty balanced this year as far as the bottom teams giving the top teams competitive games.
Well, cookie pie, the war is not over. Round 2 is coming up.. and if ya'll lose to this team today that we DEMOLISHED then we're tied up so don't get too excited. And I do not talk smack or shit I drop knowledge about realistic things that do or should happen.
BUffalo has been playing well lately..Fitzpatrick and Steve Johnson have been fantasy goldmines off the waiver
It's the weed what can I say.
also, coaching is harder and more important in football than any other sport. way behind football at #2 would be baseball.
every other team sport, coaching is basically about getting the right matchup.
in any sport but football and baseball, i think you could switch the coaches and 95% of the time you would have the same result in the game.
baseball?? I dont kno, i think a basketball coach is more important than a baseball coach.
Don't underestimate the moves a manager makes in baseball. I think there's a reason they're specifically called "Managers" instead of coach, kind of a different beast. Baseball is more about the pitcher and if you have a great one you barely need to make any coaching decisions.
28-13...
Jacoby Ford.. once again it's on.. dude is BEASTIN
I am level 5 pissified!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bears !!!!! Taking their division.
The Eagles are sore losers.
^ lmfao.everyones bound to loose sometimes
Correction. National leage managers are important. Forgot you were in an american league city toochski. NL managers got to pinch hit, sacrifice and double switch, AL managers just use a pitcher til his arm falls off.
Andy Reid fucked up today I mean he bitched out on some of those FG decisions late in the game down by TDs.
Wow... knowing when to bring the infield in, pinch, play a certain base, shift the outfield, put up Lefties vs a Righty or not, the bullpen, all of this comes in to play in the AL as well. You don't think AL managers have to pinch hit, sac? Ya'll got the double switch but gee I wonder why. The double switch is actually a fucking moron move any idiot could make because it's the only logical move in that certain situation. And both leagues would love to use a pitcher who could pitch till his arm thrown off, granted he's throwing good. I do realize you are a Pirates fan though.
I actually feel sad for Crusadah because he used to think Collins could do it, so I know he thinks Vince could do it.. it's just sad. That coach has no control over that team whatsoever. It's a shame because I do think he was a pretty damn good coach at one time. This is what happens when your team plays dirty, coach allows it, you let these bums do what they want.
These niggaz made J cutler look like Peyton Manning...smh fuck we gotta win out now
I'm not worried...........bad day for the Eagles. We got this!
I need Washington and Minnesota to lay some eggs to the G-Men for the next two weeks then we can take probably a 1 game lead and whoop the Igz then be up 2 bam bam baby the blueprint has been set
I ain't seen GZAJ in a minute. I know that fool got his kid and stuff. But I know he will be excited to see Eli Manning and the rest of the gang. Holler at me GZA. I know Portis24 is probably putting holes in the wall where he stuck his Clinton Portis fathead LOL.. I wanna see another 36-0 Wu style baby.
the chargers still own peyton manning.
hahahaha could happen
ya know, i actually am kind of excited. i didn't expect much coming into this season forreal, and haven't got much, but it's all good. washington plays much better on the road this year. this team is so schitzo, i wouldn't be surprised if they beat y'all next week forreal.
but if they don't it's all good i ain't gonna hide and shit, but i'm not gonna talk shit either, because you won't be anywhere to be found!
ya know what, fuck it
WE ALREADY WON
:D
Lol I thought the Redskins would be better than this. Ya'll really do suck though. Ole Man Portis cry me a river ahahaha ya'll got issues.
Hahaha @ my boy from Miami Andre Johnson let Cortland know he doesn't play around. I was hoping someone on the Giants would have done it like that..dude is easily the dirtiest in the game.
Did Randy Moss retire or something..
haha Cortland was lucky they caught the side of his head. Texans finally get another win. Three close-ass losses in a row fuck with a dude's stomach.
Working retirement. He only had one decent catch on a ball that wasn't intended for him.
QB Rusty lived up to his name, thank God.
Our CB's against Philly on Thursday scares the shit out of me. We could give up 600 yards.
Cortland deserves it...dude is the dirtiest player...and he said he loves that title.....dude be grabbing on other players balls and shit..homo guido ...dude got rocked......thats what he gets fro throwing his fingers in some one elses eye
the game to watch next week ..steelers vs ravens ...for the tie breaker ....what ravens got that might help...home-field...haven't lost at home yet...
^ is he talking about god??
here's another road vs home fact this coming weekend or shall we say monday night
The Jets enter Monday's game against the Patriots with a 5-0 record on the road this season.
The Patriots counter with a 5-0 record at home this season, with quarterback Tom Brady having won his last 25 regular-season starts at home, which ties Brett Favre's NFL record.
How rare is it that 5-0 road team faces a 5-0 home team?
Very rare, according to Elias Sports Bureau, as this will mark just the sixth time in NFL history that it's happened. The home team has won the last three and is 3-1-1 overall.
The breakdown, according to Elias (winners in bold):
2005: Colts (7-0) at Seahawks (7-0)
1999: Jaguars (7-0) at Titans (7-0)
1985: Bears (5-0) at Dolphins (5-0)
1948: Cardinals (5-0) at Bears (5-0)
1929: Packers (5-0) at Yellow Jackets (6-0-2)
