The polls got it wrong again, they said the British elections would be close we would get a coalition but the Tory's won by a huge margin. They got Brexit wrong. Then they said Hillary was ahead by 5 points and we got Trump winning by such a margin that he has become the most powerful President the US has had in a long time. Let's not forget that the repeated assessments are costing the tax payer more than they could ever save if they just gave the disabled the benefits in the first place. Plus the people carrying out the tests are not qualified to make the assessments AND they often don't even pay tax in the UK!
So, it's costing the taxpayer money AND it's killing disabled people.

I think this is a little different than Brexit though. A lot of the people who voted for Brexit were shown to have not known really known what they were voting for, nor what the implications were for a yes vote. Whereas the people who voted for Trump knew what they were voting for and dont seem to be regretting it like a lot of the 'yes' Brexit voters.
Foreign policy wise this is going to be interesting. Trump has said he would rather work with Assad instead of fighting for regime change which pretty much flies in the face of what the Obama team has been doing. He also wants to normalize ties with Russia which is interesting as the anti Russia propaganda machine was increasing steam at quite an alarming rate the last year or two and Hillary seemed to have been diving head first into that scenario.
