^^^yes he's very good and facial expressions and body language...other artists on his level imo would be like paul pope and darwyn cooke...plus he draws funny/awesome looking monsters and robots...his aesthetic is very good, usually the pop-art type guys are the ones who get a good reaction from my non comic reading friends (especially girls) when i have some books just laying around on a table or something in my apartment.
pope is a bit more abstract..but absolutely...hes good too.
^^^you should check out darwyn cooke's stuff too...the new frontier, batman ego, selina's big score, and that new parker the hunter graphic novel...he's one of the best imo

i bought the absolute edition of new frontier a few month ago, and my dad saw it and wanted me to let him have it lol
allred, pope, and cooke (as well as damion scott, jordi benet, and others) did issues of the dc series solo...a dude who goes to my shop had a complete set of that series bound in a hardcover and was trying to sell it to me for a 100 bucks...which i almost did because i can't find those anywhere but fuck that lol

am i the only person buying wednesday comics? i'm loving this shit...what a superb collection of artists here. paul pope, michael allred, brian stelfreeze, kyle baker...4 bucks for a newsprint rag seems steep but it's really worth it.
artistically dc is the only one I find on point right now.

^^^i think marvel still has an overall stronger stable of artists, it's just that alot of them aren't doing much right now like lienil yu, steve mcniven, olivier coipel, acuna, etc.
spider-man has been good to me, the current issue was more funny than anything else
mcfarlane is drawing spawn 200...i checked out the newest story when they introduced a new spawn, but it was boring to me...i think it's time has passed unless they were to completely reinvent it, to a much greater extent than what they've done currently.
i like the kamandi strip the best in wednesday comics, but i'm enjoying them all except for maybe superman because of the atrocious dialogue

^^^i enjoy it alot...it's more of an artistic exercise than anything imo...but the art is uniformly great...it's almost halfway over now i think, i guess you could just wait for the inevitable collections.

my main dealer never does re orders. he's a cool cat till it comes down to business... then i just wanna stick a broom in his ass. he always got some excuse.
this other shop i go to is like comics for the bougie.
they always got back order. the dudes there are cool as hell. they even put me on any Wu news they hear of... not that they ever really putting me on to it but it's cool, my beef with them is they up their prices even ON the drop day. its a dollar more that week then 2 dollars after.

the john romita sr variant for spider-man 600 was going for 25 dollars the day it came out and i went there in the evening lol but regular issues will sit on the shelf for however long...unless it's something eventful i suppose.
that's bullshit on the re-orders, my guy will do re-orders whenever possible it just takes too fucking long lol

^^^lol what a lazy douche...the mycomicshop usually takes about a week when i've used it, but it maybe faster for you since you're in NM (it's based out of texas)
was trinity any good? i read like the first 3 and it was sooooo dull...and mark bagley is a hack to me, i used to think he was good back when he was drawing amazing spider-man when i was in like 3rd grade but his art looks so rushed now and his facial expressions are usually weird looking...and his depiction of superman is ass, and his batman looks off also.

it sucked ass. i read earlier on that it was originally set out to be 12 issues but they kept it on i guess or some shit. the idea for every 3 covers fitting together was...*sigh* just dumb
and as for the current spider man shit...really stale to me, uninteresting.

it's a 4 issue miniseries written by christos gage, each issue is set in a different era of marvel history, the common thread is a scheme concocted by sinster and kraven the hunter to clone an ultimate mutant or some shit...the art was the best part imo it came out last year or earlier this year...again, i don't remember.

^^^ya the wonder woman one is really beautiful i'm surprised so many people hate it, at the shop i go to everyone i've talked to singles that one out as the worst which irritates me...i like the feel of the flash one as well, deadman's good...overall it's a nice project...and to only be like 15 pages i find myself spending a good amount of time with each issue
i did like Deadman and metamopho of course...2 giants workin on that shit.
^^^ya the metamorpho strips from weeks 3 and 4 form a giant image of them walking around the island...it's sweet
i want to know how they are going to collect that shit...it'll probably be pretty costly

i like the cartoonish style as well, i mean it's all in how it's implemented, some artists are just more capable than others...GL and Flash look like animation cels in the best way and ya the batman story has been kind of underwhelming so far, it's definitely batman by the numbers, it's hit a few of the cliche notes so far...i still like risso's art though
