Koman Coulibaly, the referee who disallowed what would have been the go-ahead goal for the United States against Slovenia on Friday, faces an expedited performance review from FIFA and is likely to be barred from the rest of the World Cup, Yahoo! Sports reports. http://www.sportingnews.com/soccer/a...ht-be-finished
More than just that one goal being taken away. Lots of other bad calls and dirty play by Slovenians. Can't they at least let Findley play the next game?Quote:
The U.S. team complained about more than the disallowed goal. The game was quite physical, as evidenced by a second-half elbow on American Jozy Altidore by Slovenia's Marko Suler. Suler was given a yellow card for the foul, but it might have merited a red card.
American Robbie Findley also received a yellow card. It was for an intentional handball, even though replays clearly showed the ball hit Findley in the face. Because it was Findley's second yellow card of the World Cup, he will be suspended from the must-win game against Algeria on Wednesday.
Looks like the USA broke a world cup record. Awesome comeback guys!!!Quote:
It's still unclear why Coulibaly disallowed Maurice Edu's 86th-minute strike, which could have given the U.S. a remarkable victory. The Americans fell behind 2-0 in the first half but rallied to tie the game in the second half. No team has even won a World Cup game after trailing 2-0, including the U.S., which had to settle for a 2-2 draw Friday.
theheavens, from where are you from?
it's just football, I don't know why people hate on countries....
Cameroon - Denmark is pretty enjoyable.
(cameroon - denmark)
now THATS what i call an entertaining match! this is the kind of games i wanna see in a world cup. alot of flaws in both teams defences, which is a good thing since it opened for alot of chances.
fuckin tense towards the end there, this should've been Cameroon's night :/ fu Denmark
