Predictions : winners of the quarter finals will be Holland and Germany. I'm unsure about the other ones. Also, responding to Hectis' question about the US : I think the US have done fairly well. It is important to keep in mind that reaching the actual World Cup tournament is a success in and of itself for a lot of countries. The US have consistently been competing in the World Cup since the nineties. I respect that. (The last time Belgium participated was in 2002. See what I'm getting at?) And then reaching the round of 16. Not bad at all!
Hectis, teams like Belgium and Holland's highest realistic hope for this tournament was reaching the round of 16. So for the USA to reach that round as well is quite good.
