nope
i said in the beginning of the world cup in this thread that i was supporting france and spain but my predictions from the start were brazil vs. argentina in the final and germany taking third place

Good prediction. You might be right.
i have argentina beating brazil in the final by the way
Yeah, if that turns out to be the final I think you got that result right.
Lol Brazil, i guess there game plan was to kick the shit out of James Rodriguez. How many times was he fouled? Fernandihno didn't even get a yellow card, i mean come on he should have been booked in the first half. He did the same shit in the Chile game. Ref's are way to lenient with Brazil, they are letting them get away with a shitload of fouls and not carding their players.
What a goal from Davis Luiz though, man of the match today.
Did anyone see the giant grasshopper on Rodriguez's arm after he scored the goal? wtf???
Germany - France was boring as hell, the Germans scored and in the 2nd half just killed the game. France really didn't have any clear cut chances, they were never gonna beat Neuer from those angles.
I fully expect Germany to beat Brazil, in fact i hope Germany beat Brazil. This is the most unlikeable Brazil team ever, a lot of people gonna be rooting for Germany.
germany will be beating the netherlands in the third place match
I think Germany will beat Brazil.
apparently Neymar is out for the rest of the tournament. No Thiago Silva and Neymar against Germany gonna be real tough.
Nothing is confirmed but initial reports say he fractured his back. I know it didn't look that bad, but he did get a knee in the back.
That was the thing with the game, the ref let the Brazilians get away with so much shit the Colombians near the end of the game made some dangerous tackles in retaliation.
COLOMBIA DIDNT HAVE OUR BEST PLAYER AND MY BOY ACTION JACKSON MARTINEZ, WHO SCORED 2 GOALs IN 1 GAME, I GUESS HE PULLED A MICHEAL BEASLEY AND THATS WHY THEY BENCHED HIM
All teams can surprise, so yeah, ofc. Would be the biggest surprise of the tournament so far though (and no, I haven't forgotten spain getting ridiculed).
Whoever thought they could get close to winning the world cup is delusional. However, considering their team, they did great.
Honestly think that's the last time that we will ever see that Referee!
I was actually appalled by his performance.
I mean seriously not giving 1 yellow card in the first half?
Considering the amount of bad challenges that were happening?
As you eluded to that's why Neymar is out
And yeah he shouldn't be given special treatment but the Ref deemed it a fair challenge lol
He had to go back 70 yards to check on dude....didn't even think it was a foul!
This Ref was a fucking joke.
Even the players were like:
"How Long Is He Gonna Allow This Shit To Go Unpunished?"
"Oh Really That's Not A Foul Ref?....Then I Suppose THIS! Isn't A Foul Either Then?"
Fucking Schoolboy Stuff at The World Cup = Disgraceful
So when James Rodriguez miss-tmes a slide tackle and pulls out of the challenge he gets booked?
He even gestured to the Ref 1, 2, 3, 4 times at least I was tackled much whers than that?
Really? flapped his hand as if to say "Whatever Man We Know What Your Game Is Son"
No wonder he spazzed out at the final whistle lol
Thiago Silva granted you could argue - he was pretty stupid to get booked....
But still, compared to the "tackles" or "challenges" that were going on....nah.
It really pisses me off when someone gets booked for silly shit like :
Kicking the ball away
Or descent (arguing with officials)
But when crazy wild tackles come flying in and they don't even get a yellow card!?
And don't even get me started on players waving cards at the Ref
That shit is beyond my comprehension to be honest
To me that's cheating and I heard they were gonna come down hard
On players participating in such acts....did they....did they fuck lol.
But honestly....after seeing this piss-poor spectacle orchestrated by a bunch of clowns
I can see why some do wave their hands about asking for cards....still didn't help though.
Columbia clearly scored 2 goals in that game as well.
They were doing that offside position the whole game
Pryor to dangerous Free Kicks around the box
And I don't remember them being offside previously:
I mean they are running away from goal....active huh?
Even the commentator mentioned the fact that :
The supposed offside Columbian didn't touch the ball!
Whatever....I would go as far to say the officials won Brazil the game.
Hard to see Germany letting this slip now.
^^A lot, man. What I feared, happened : referee gave home country advantage. Like I said before in this thread, I don't just see this happening to Brazil, I think tonight's game Argentina-Belgium will suffer the same fate. FIFA wants that Brazil-Argentina final (which somebody else mentioned in this thread). FIFA is about entertainment, which isn't necessarily the same as sports in the good sense of the word.
And I'm not saying that to excuse my team if they lose tonight. In a fair and square game Argentina is likely to have the upperhand on Belgium anyway. I concede to that. But under the circumstances it will be even harder for Belgium tonight.
this dude best to escape fast cuz he'll have heads gunning for him after what he did to their icon...

On top of that, in the final minutes when Brazil made their last 2 changes. Colombia were taking a corner on both occasions. The linesman's stood in front of the ball so Colombia wouldn't take a quick corner.
Germany are more than capable of abusing the Brazilians. Just depends on whether the ref will let guys like Fernandihno, Paulihno and David Luiz hack the crap out of Muller, Kroos and Ozil. I don't think the Germans will let it happen though. Before the match whoever the ref is the Germans will put a shitload of pressure on him to book the Brazilians early on.
Massively, its been like this since the first game. Brazil were awarded a ridiculously cheap penalty. Everyone guessed that the refs would be lenient on Brazil, but not this much. They are allowed to hack away and the refs are not punished. If the ref yellow carded the Brazilians like he should have they wouldn't have been so free to hack away in the 2nd half. That would have given Colombia more time and space on the ball going forward. It makes a difference.
Germany v Holland would serve FIFA more if we don't get a Brazil - Argentina final. Germany - Holland is the biggest rivalry in European football, loads of history there.
REF WOULD PROBABLY GET KILLED IF HE DIDnT DO WHAT HE DID
Of course I am disappointed right now. But I can't take anything away from Argentina's victory. They played a bit better than Belgium (especially technically), and I cannot claim the referee made obvious decisions to Argentina's advantage.
In the first half the Belgians showed too much respect for Argentina, which resulted in a serious lack of pressing to reclaim the ball. It was painful to see! We played slow again in the first half, but this has been an ongoing issue for our team this tournament.
The nail in our coffin was obviously the very early goal, after which the Argentinians deliberately slowed down the game (which is pretty smart and efficient).
I think it's fair to say the Argentinians weren't THAT much better than the Belgians, especially in the second half.
Eden Hazard played below his normal level during this tournament. I think he only showed 3 flashes of his class during this World Cup. A serious disappointment. Vertonghen and Alderweireldt were very good this game.
Congrats to Argentina.
Ballsy coaching from Van Gaal, even though it worked out i think taking out your number 1 goalie for penalties is a bit wrong.
Holland deserved to win, i mean they just couldn't score the ball refused to go over the line. Real gutsy performance by Costa Rica they just gave it their all, what more could you want from them? Really well played.
As with Belgium I mean this was Argentina's best performance so far but still they are so vulnerable in defence I thought Belgium would have had more chances. I dunno it just felt like the Belgians didn't have the legs to really push Argentina. Hazard was a disappointment all tournament, he should have stepped up.
Messi was great that pass he gave Di Maria was awesome. The game with Holland will be really intriguing, I think the Dutch can expose Argentina's defence with their counters.
I think we will see a Germany - Holland final.
Tim Krul (Dutch replacement goalie) should have gotten yellow carded for his antics. But I can understand why he did it. The penalty shootout has a lot to do with psychology. And props where props are due : this guy always went for the right corner and of course he stopped two penalty shots.
The referee was very much in favor of the Netherlands throughout the game imo. Also, Robben was overdoing it a bit with his numerous dives this time around.
There were Dutch soccer analysts (for the Dutch people on here : Jan Mulder and Jan Boskamp) on the show I was watching after the game and they said Van Gaal had planned in advance Krul would take over from Cillessen in the event of a penalty shootout. Krul probably performed better on penalty shots during training sessions. Of course there's always a risk in swapping goalies just for the penalty shootout. The one who comes in is still 'cold' so to speak and this doesn't seem like an advantage. But Krul proved me wrong on this.
The final four are not the best teams when you look at their general performance during games. I'd make an exception for Germany, as efficiency is just the thing they stand for. But Brazil, Argentina and Holland have shown themselves vulnerable. Overall teams like Chile and Colombia were better, but of course it's the results that count in the end.
At any rate congrats to the Netherlands. Good for them!
It's down to the Final four: I have The Netherlands over Argentina, and Germany over Brazil.
No fucking way man, Diaz should've been sent of with 2 yellow cards and those were not dives by Robben. A player like him gets tackled a lot. I agree on the many offsides, RVP sucked yesterday.
Tim Krul never went too far, you're entitled to take your time to get ready and psychological games have been played forever.
And yeah, Krul was told he would be substituted to do the penalties. He doesn't have the best track record (2 out of 20 saves in the EPL) but I guess he just knew what would happen. Indeed he was right every time.
Cillessen doesn't save too many penalties, he usually just picks a side and goes for it.
Costa Rica got what they deserved for only playing during the last 3 minutes of extra time.
Costa Rica could have gotten 2 penalty shots during regular time as well. Overall, the Netherlands were of course the better team. It was also one of Sneijder's better games.
Regarding Robben : in most (but not all) cases he indeed has no other option but fall. But he overdoes it whenever he falls, falling as theatrically as possible (extra rolls etc.) to make sure a free kick or a card for the opposite player is ensured. Slight form of 'matennaaien' if you ask me.
Germany will beat Brazil. Not sure about Netherlands-Argentina. I hope the Netherlands win that semifinal.
Thanks for the insight on the Dutch goalies, Rame. (I don't know much about them.)
RIP to Alfredo Di Stefano, Real Madrid legend.
Returning to the world cup, Brazil have appealed the yellow card given to Tiago Silva. lol they never gonna win that what a waste of time.
didnt seem like he did it accidently
