American's wouldn't know a good beer anyway. I remember that Eric bragging about being a beer connoisseur naming Dos Equis as a top beer :lmao:
The plan is that all the major leagues already have a winter break apart from England so they would just move their 2-3 week winter break a little forward to November December. Problem with that is that some countries in Europe take the winter break because its fucking winter and you can't play so moving it forward a month would still mean they would need to a take the actual winter break. The only advantage of that is that the top players would be fresh due to the seasons just starting.
I don't think the UK could afford hosting a world cup, I would fucking love it but doubt it will happen. I can see FIFA stripping Qatar but not Russia, that is not happening. It would be seen as politically motivated and it would also cause trouble in UEFA. I mean if Russia bribed its way to 2018, then they will just turn around and say 'oh wait the main investigation is about France 1998', The French bribed their way to host it so the European high and mighty stance doesn't apply as much as UEFA and Europe would like it to, they just as dirty.
Your right FIFA didn't pay a dime in tax with the money made in Brazil, they took all the profits while Brazil footed the bill. That was just one of the problems Brazilians had with the tournament along with FIFA lobbying for laws to be changed but also the waste of money. Can't remember the name but the stadium in the middle of the rainforest which was super humid and nobody could play there. The stadium cost like $200million and the city only had a 3rd division side. So its not even being used now, FIFA didn't want the location of the host cities to be to close to each other so the Brazilians went and built a stadium from scratch in the middle of nowhere for just 3 fucking games. Brazilian governments fault to obviously towing the line like that.
lol thats just a fucking crime.
FIFA is a shame for football. If Quatar doesn't get stripped, I can see another huge shitstorm coming their way, and rightly so. If it do happen, I at least hope football fans will have the brains to boycott the entire world cup.
the only thing good about dos equis are the commercials
either than that its a bootleg version of corona
http://memecrunch.com/meme/S78E/when...png?w=1024&c=1
lol Back to the topic, the English media are making a meal out of it.
They are really hell bent on trying to get the WC.
I dont think anyone would boycott the WC , there are just too many hardcore supporters.
Wanted Juve to win but at the end of the day Barca were the better team the front 3 was a little too much for Juve, although I think Juve played incredibly well yesterday and there was a moment after they scored when they dominated the game. Was a good final.
More FIFA revelations, FIFA paid the Irish FA 5million Euros to drop legal action after the Henry handball in the France - Ireland world cup qualifiers. Just god knows how much more of this shit has gone on. The English media are on FIFA's case just because they want one of the worlds cups to be given to them. However even if Russia or Qatar are stripped of their world cups, i think the FIFA members who are probably annoyed at the British press will give it to someone else which would be funny.
Cro v italy this week and we aren't allowed a crowd
Documents reveal new details about crazy domestic abuser, Hope Solo. It will probably be another double standard, since she's female.

I have tried to watch some of the womens world cup. Its pretty poor to be honest, the games are slow and the quality is just not there. Also a lot of female players simply can't control the fucking ball, maybe its from the artificial pitch i dunno but some players truly lack the fundamental skills football requires.
http://www.petitions24.com/stop_mism...internazionale
can you be so kind and sign this petition? Help my stupid club Inter to see that selling Kovačić is idiotic.
They won't sell Kovacic unless he wants to leave, him and Icardi should be the first two names on the team sheet, along with Nagatomo.
I watched a bit of the girls matches yesterday. They don't seem to fake injuries like the men, or at least not as bad, as I did see one gurney come out which seems ridiculous.
Inter had to sell Sneijder because his wages were ridiculously high. They paid too much fit ageing players. The new owner apparently wants to stabilize finances?
Inter had a great opportunity to completely dominate Italian football for the next decade and for a while it seemed like they would do so. Big mistakes were made and its been an epic failure for them ever since they won the champs league. Nowhere to be seen really, they have fallen back so much that they no longer have the power to sign the best players, so it would be incredibly stupid for them to sell Kovacic.
Same with AC Milan, oh how the mighty have fallen.
lol none of you guys are watching Copa America?
Ive been following the copa america and the womens word cup
I dont think the players take copa america too seriously
couple of teams have been flopping
i know its just started but im predicting
Brazil vs Argentina final
who knows.
weirder things have happened
Copa America isn't on TV here so yeah...it's also played at like 11am so can't stream it
Yeah, Thohir wants more stability.
Paying high wages to Stanković and Chivu that were injured for most of the time in their last 3 (!!!!!) years at Inter instead of paying a quality player like Sneijder.... jesus fucking christ I hate this club.
Good riddance, at least the old fool Moratti is gone.
Well with the Copa America the games i have watched have been shit. Watched Argentina last night against Uruguay and it was just dull. It is like the players are being forced to play and they don't really care, thats how Argentina were like anyway.
^yea I actually turned that game off in the end of the second half because it was so fucking dull...
The best games for me where on Monday - Bolivia vs Ecuador and Mexico vs Chile
The Mexico game in particular was great. I want to see them win the whole thing. They actually play with passion.
Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil are all playing like shit smh
lol and smh @ Arturo Vidal
Chile’s Copa América Star in Court After Crashing Ferrari

theyre saying he crashed his car driving drunk tuesday night lol
Easily one of the best players in the tournament nad putting Sanchez to shame
Thing is with tournaments like this the good teams play shit at the beginning and if they feel like winning it they will turn it on. Argentina no longer play exciting football, last year at the world cup they were a 1-0 and done team and they relied a lot on Messi to do something when they probably talent wise have the best national team in the world. They aint won the Copa in 20 years.
Uruguay need to rebuild as there core squad that was so successful for the past 5 years is now very old.
As with Mexico, a solid team but they aren't a team that plays well in the knockout phases and this has haunted them for a long time.
The goal the Jamaicans conceded against Paraguay, lol you couldn't do that if you tried.
So Inter just signed Kondogbia. Is this real life?
Inter aren't in European competition this year so FFP doesn't apply to them, therefore Thohir can open his 30 billion dollar cheque book and make some signings.
I hope it works that way.
They say we already have Murillo and Miranda, and that Salah and Imbula are coming too.
FFP is being relaxed anyway because of the pressure on teams with Arab oil pimps running them. Inter are always too desperate and will overpay the wages and be in trouble down the line
What's going on with the new stadium in Milan is that happening?
Also, didn't Mexico basically send a reserve squad to the Copa America?
The stadium process is one that takes years, at least in Italy. Roma & Udinese are the only two teams in Italy that will have new stadiums guaranteed. Milan still need to go through local council, city council, region council and then the Italian council and get approval from each before they can begin building. The plan is for Milan to build their own stadium while Inter will redo the San Siro and own it.
Jesus that's crazy. Italian stadiums are in desperate need of restoration and upgrades too, a lot of them just flat out aren't safe.
I suppose nobody watching the women's World Cup? Australia beat Brazil this morning to go to the quarter finals, best result any of our teams male or female have done.
Yeah the stadium situation sucks but if you see the stadiums they are building (especially Roma) it will all be worth it in the long run. The Roma stadium will be ready for the 2017 season.
Ahh good ol bureaucracy. The new stadium for Juventus did them wonders, in the old Del Allpi they rarely filled it up and the atmosphere was dire, now though things have changed greatly. Stadiums with running tracks are just not good for football.
Parma have been declared bankrupt, no buyers so they will now play in Serie D. Just wow, they once had one of the best squads in Europe, its kinda shameful that now they are in this state.
Yeah that sucks but the same thing happened to Fiorentina & Napoli and they both bounced back.
Why do Italian soccer fans and other foreigners fly the Confederate flag?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...federate-flag/
The South and North of Italy are very different and always at odds, they are almost like two different countries.
A lot of Soccer teams tend to have some sort of political affiliation that goes with them. For example Lazio an Italian team is pretty much known to be a team whose supporters are largely fascists. Other teams in Italy like Livorno are seen as socialist teams. In Italy this relationship is most evident, Inter Milan are seen as the poor mans team while AC Milan are the team of the elites. It all comes to the history of the club and how it was formed back in the day, so some teams would be formed by factory workers and others by the cities rich. So it turns into a right wing vs left wing thing, Fascists vs Communists, etc etc.
Not just in Italy though its throughout Europe. Its more glaring in the Mediterranean countries where the people have nothing else to do but squabble over football and politics. The rivalry between Real Madrid and Barcelona is as much political as it is to do with Sport.
Brazil out of the Copa America, weird that they go straight to penalties after the 90 minutes. The path has been paved for Argentina to win it i guess. I think the tournament itself has been a sham, the pitch quality is poor so the games suffer. The Refereeing has been awful, i didn't watch the game but saw later the Chile - Uruguay game. What the Chilean player did to Cavani, i mean your asking to get your ass kicked for that, then the guy falls to the ground and Cavani gets a red card. It was just a fucking disgraceful decision.
Game of the week: New York Red Bull vs New York City FC
No lol
fifa women s WC- USA vs JAPAN
Copa America Final - Argentina vs Chile
Lmao @ Paraguay losing 6-1 in the semis.
How on earth have Brazil gotten to the point where they first gets completely crushed in the World Cup, then gets knocked out of Paraguay in the Copa??
A bit mad that I haven't been able to see more of this years copa america, but I mostly work night shifts every day and because of the difference in time zones these matches are mostly around 22:00-03:00, which is a bummer. Looking forward to seeing the final on saturday though :D
Yea that was pretty weird seeing Paraguay getting smashed that way.
Dunga is the worst coach for Brazil right now. They should've kept Scolari or gotten someone else, heck maybe a foreign coach like Gus Hiddink(I hear he left the Nederlands team). Brazil played like utter crap ! that handball from Silva cost them the game.
How Brazil is on the Decline is beyond me !! without Neymar they are done for.
Brazil was pumping out talent like crazy! I guess the factory is shutting down?
Before the Brazil team that would feature at the Copa america was the B team. Now its the 1st team that is featuring at the Copa America.
Im also disappointed in Mexico, Colombia and Uruguay.
I really thought they would've made further and done better
Argentina have the squad to win it but Chile wont be easy to beat since they have home advantage
Third place is Peru vs Paraguay
In general its hard to catch the Copa America!
I usually stream the game online.
Its easier to catch the women's world cup games on TV
