"underwater is my shit..lyrically its iller than the forest"
Naw man youre crazy. Fishscale is definately better than BPW but Underwater isnt touching The Forest.
To start off, "Fish Scale" has been in the player non-stop and I will say it: It is as good as "Supreme Clientel". So I said it... Amazing album and amazing lyrics with nasty beats. The funny thing is that all u need is that combo: Lyrics and Beats and Ghost did it. I feel that in a few weeks it will become a classic to my ears. My favorite song is... too many. I only wish Rza would have done a song like "The Grain":dududu: but I cant make the cake but I can snort it:hooray: Love Kilos... In fact I am on some good white right now! love powder, Baby
"Dropped the raw and Dirt dropped the straw" Classic
Yep every body knows "Kilos is 1000 grams"
Yeah a KILO IS A 1000 GRAMS ITS EASY TO REMEMBERQuote:

good to see fishscale is selling well.
i wanted to hear how rzas beats were sounding in this day and age, but i dont need rza beats to like wu-tang songs like some people so thats ok.
Fishscale = :thumbup:
what are your favorite lines off of fishscale?
Anyone else think Big Girl is one of the best tracks?
for sure BIG GIRL is sick.....Quote:

hiphopsite.com has a review of fishscales. But the funny part about it is, they reviewed the album based on the advanced version rather than the retail. But @ the sametime they still gave the album 4 out of 5. The album should've gotten atleast a 4.5 on that site. Even before the ghost review hiphopsite.com has lost alot of credibility IMO.
I got my copy today. Very impressive so far, just made it to track Beauty Jackson.
i'd say a lot of people did since the album sold nearly 116K first week.
do u kno what its at now?
does anybody know what the sales numbers are for fishscale and where can i find it out for myself? hopefully it will be gold or platinum. its a certified CLASSIC
not saying supreme clientele isnt good, i ecspecially like the sampling and beats, but can someone tell me whats so great about it. i think ironman is his best, then fishscale, then supreme and bulletproof are tied for me. but ironman and bulletproof wallets were 2 out of my first 3 wu solos and before i got into really listening to my music. pretty toney sucked except for a few songs but nothing really good
no havent bought it yet cause it aint released down here. The White Block Of Cheese From New Zealand
and yet another extremely positve review of FISHSCALE from VIBE

Ghostface Killah - Fishscale (Def Jam)
4/5
By: Ben Detrick
March 22, 2006
Despite the waning interest in New York–centric rap, Ghostface Killah’s eccentric street appeal still manages to grab the attention of rap fans. On Fishscale, his fifth solo offering, the Wally Champ sticks to the script, breathing life into vivid narratives of girls, guns, coke, and crime.
If the Pete Rock–furnished horn stabs of “Be Easy” are representative of Fishscale’s golden-era aesthetic, “Back Like That,” which fuses an interpolation from Jay-Z’s, “Song Cry” into Ne-Yo’s soulfully crooned hook, is an intentional radio-ready endeavor. But even when he compromises, Ghost wins: “I should just bark on you...’cause I’m too much man to leave a mark on you.”
Appearances from Wu-Tang cronies on tracks such as “9 Milli Bros.” largely appeal to nostalgia, but the chemistry between Raek- won and Tony Starks remains intact, as evidenced by the jubilant drug ode “Kilo” and the visual “R.a.g.u.” With the exception of a Just Blaze adrenaline rush on “The Champ,” Ghostface mostly snubs big name producers for indie icons MF Doom, J Dilla, and Madlib. The sample-heavy results are cohesive yet diverse, a proper canvas for Ghost’s finest effort since Supreme Clientele.

Ghost's got his own style, always has since Ironman...a little more masta killa and them cats would've been chillin, but i'm alright with no JAY-Z. I'll take Dre and Wu, but not Jay...not down wid it.

FISHSCALE Debuts At #5!
April 5, 2006
OVER 110K SOLD FIRST WEEK AS CRITICS SHOWER ACCLAIM;
TONY STARKS RETURNS TO NYC FOR 4/22 NOKIA THEATER SHOW
Ghostface Killah’s highly-anticipated new release, Fishscale, arrived in stores last Tuesday amid a torrent of critical acclaim and a massive street buzz among fans. Now, with sales topping 110,000 units, almost double the first-week numbers posted by 2004’s The Pretty Tony Album, Fishscale debuted on the Billboard 200 album chart at #4 this week, and #2 on the R&B album chart.
Word on Ghost’s return to form has been spreading like wildfire: his incredible South By Southwest show at the Fader/Levis house has quickly become the stuff of legend; glowing reviews from critics in top publications like The New Yorker, the New York Times, Rolling Stone, USA Today and Pitchfork are calling the album an instant classic, his best since Supreme Clientele, and an early vote for Album of the Year; message-boards and chat-rooms on hip-hop fan sites have been debating Fishscale’s merits and clamoring for it’s release. On top of all this, Ghost remains on an extensive national tour, and his hit single “Back Like That” featuring Ne-Yo continues to grow.
Ghost will make his triumphant return to his native New York City with a sold-out performance at Nokia Theater on April 22nd. Stay tuned…
