some jackass had the audacity to compare liefeld to skottie young and chris bachalo...you know dudes with actual style and design sense. gritted teeth, veins on veins, blast lines and smoke for backgrounds, tiny ankles, no feet, and pouches is not a style.
but liefeld did bring the world deadpool and cable, so he's not all bad. (though they really only got dope after they were taken from his hands but whatever, we all remember bob kane as the creator of batman when he did fuck all to create the batman we all know and love)
final verdict on Suicide Kings...very meh, which i knew it would be...just didnt kno why til last issue, and finally this one. Not sure where the writers land on the ethnic spectrum but this quasi-urbanization is nauseating..its what i cant stand about comics today...the idea that the "word" insertion in a sentence is hip and cool, therefore must be used to help young readers relate. I dug the art, mostly, and the premise wasnt terrible..just didnt stnad up that well at the end, and was pretty underwhelming.
i would rather pick his brain about his art choices than shit on him though...his art to me looks like a little kid who never went to art class who's trying to emulate art adams and john byrne...
that dude was kind of cowardly for that though, i mean what's liefeld going to do other than get pissed and maybe talk some trash?

there's a new series simply called deadpool out now...it's on like 11 or 12 now
as well as the apparently lame suicide kings miniseries
and a new series deadpool:merc with a mouth that's on issue 2 or 3
the new series has been consistently dope, though not as good as cable/deadpool imo.

^^^i agree, but nicieza did well also, gail simone wrote a good wade towards the end of his series and the agent x stuff...and christopher priest wrote a few quality stories...wade's been blessed to have a lot of good writers work on him.

spider-woman apparrently drops september 23rd...i'm going to look around and see if i can find the motion comic somewhere.
i read a review that said the motion comics voice acting makes it wack as fuck. witch sucks, cause bendis and maleev in a digital format should be a cant miss.
i saw the trailer, i thought jessica drew sounded ok with her slight british accent, but we'll see...plus bendis' wordy dialogue probably requires the right kind of delivery, like mamet or tarantino
