smeltz was offside...it does not matter that cannavaro touched the ball, because when the ball was played in and flicked on smeltz was in an offside position and therefore even if the ball was touched by cannavaro, he still had gained an advantage by being in that offside position and that is illegal.
The italian penalty was bogus...dude blatantly dived...yeah sure the n/z dude was pulling his shirt but de rossi purposely went to ground...italians are the biggest cheats when it comes to football.
