No samples on either The Champ or Three Bricks, both were played. I don't think a lot of those skits used samples either (maybe just Bad Mouth Kid). Also, the real sample for 9 Mili Bros is unknown as far as I know. They listed it as the song by DOOM but that's not the real sample, that's just the beat which had already been released by itself on one of the DOOM Special Herbs joints. As for all the rest, I'm still looking for them myself. One Love.

Excuse me I was wrong on one thing here. There is a sample on The Champ. The drums are sampled from "Synthetic Substitution" by Melvin Blyss. These drums have been used by everybody-literally, I think just about every producer in hip-hop has used those drums at least once. RZA has used them several times and Mathematics used them for "Mighty Healthy" by Ghost. I can post the song if you want. One Love.

I know it's not sampled....all the instruments are live. The Sharon cash song is the song that's replayed/interpolated by the band. I just downloaded the advance version of the Champ. The vocals are sampled on the advance.

A few of these were fuck-ups by Def Jam. "The Return Of Clyde Smith Skit" samples "A Summer Dream" by Jack McDuff, not "JuJu" as it says in the Fishscale liner notes. Also, "Crack Spot" samples "Master Of Love" by Freda Payne, not "Feed Me Your Love." Both of these were posted in this thread a few pages back. I think somebody also said that the Brother to Brother song was wrong too but I don't think the correct song has been found yet. All of the rest of these samples have already been posted in this thread, just scroll back a few pages and you should find them. One Love.

Also, Kamikaze what's your take on the Shakey Dog sample shit? I know XXL listed Love Is Blue by The Dells as the sample, but after listening to it, I don't think that's the version it was sampled from. The liner notes say it was sampled from "Love Is Blue" by Johnny Johnson and His Bandwagon. Do you have that song by any chance? Also, do you have the sample for "Clipse Of Doom" off Fishscale? These are the only two samples I'm missing from Fishscale. Props in advance for any help here. One Love.

I think Can Can was one of the songs cut from Fishscale. I'm not sure if it had another name or not. I have the song though if you want it.

The Shakey Dog sample is kinda iffy. It sounds like the Dells version maybe slowed down or pitched down a bit, but at the same time there are a couple of parts that don't really sound like it. The thing is...I can't find any record of Johnny Johnson even making a version of Love Is Blue. That doesn't really mean much if it's a rare record but added to all the other screwups in the credits, it deepens the mystery.

Same thing with the Brother to Brother sample. The credits list "Chance to Be With You". The only song I can find even remotely close is called "Chance With You". Assuming they are the same song, it's the wrong sample for Bad Mouth Kid.

I don't know about Clipse of Doom. Also, the original original to 9 Milli would be nice if anyone knows it. I have the credited Doom beat.

Thanks for all the info. Yes, I would be interested in Ghostface's "Can Can" if you don't mind hooking it up. Also, by any chance do you have a full, decent quality (as in non-mixtape) version of Murder Goons? If you could hook hook up either one or both of those joints it would be very much appreciated.

As for Shakey Dog, I was thinking the same thing. The more I listen to The Dells joint, I really don't think that's it although the vocal part does sound slightly similar.

Also, I meant to ask for the sample to "Dogs Of War" not "Clipse Of Doom," if you have that and/or an mp3 version of the "Big Girl" sample (Stylistics joint), it would be very much appreciated. Sorry for always asking you all the time for all this shit, but the last few filesharing systems I've had have all fucked up my computer bad so I can't download anything from anywhere else.
