i just ordered the x-men, spider-man, invincible ironman, and FF omnibuses. first 30 or so issues of each comic. they're all volume one, so i hope marvel puts out the following voumes as well.
apparently they just abandoned making the Marvel Masterpieces line. anybody know anything about the Omnibus shit?

i know some are like 100 bucks like for secret wars 1 and 2

i own the captain america one, the spider-man one (which i love, it's dated but classic) and am waiting on the wolverine one and tomb of dracula. and i'll be copping the ultimates omnibus and the alan moore captain britain one when they drop next month...i love these things, the only comics you could knock somebody unconscious with.
and no, they're still issuing the masterworks volumes, like 2 a month i believe; i know because i have the jim starlin adam warlock on reserve for next month. and the og deathlok one that drops in october.

i want to get into all this shit, so i figured id start at the beginning and work my way to the present. its ambitious as fuck, but i really enjoy reading comics, and i want a good collection. i think they'll only need a second x-men omnibus. theres only sixty something issues of that before it changed to Uncanny X-Men and they already have that first omnibus
i think its a great way to collect all these. the Essential Marvel series is a lot cheaper, but that shits in black and white on shitty grainy paper so fuck that
