Have you been in NY? There's "trash" or what we call "litter" on every street LOL Good or bad. What I classify as a bad neighborhood is one with no opportunity and harsh poverty. Regardless of race or environment.

Poor woman. In the grand scheme of things, someone's life is much more precious than your own gains for dealing out any amount of drugs...

Many low income housing "projects" were a mistake to make. Putting a fewer new bigger houses is meant to try and make it better slowly and an attempt to increase prosperity.

People will move into those houses because it is a nice house sold cheap and pay less tax. The problem is crime occurs more often and their house is a good target for robberies. The less tax payed leads to poor education facilities if you move there with kids.

It is however NOT a factor of ignorant black people!

Nicer neighborhoods pay more municipal taxes to get the trash picked up.

It is true that is what a snitch is. In a poorer neighborhood there is some risk involved when talking to the cops, but the cops need to work harder to protect those people. Usually those leads can be reported anonymously.

Outside of hip-hop the context kids use that word today, the more you snitch the better.

Yea, there's always an element of danger involved. Last week, this man named Crillen got shot around my area, and no one wants to say anything, the two guys he was with aren't cooperating with the police and the media is slammin' them...even his sister & mom don't wanna open their mouth and talk to the press to peep a word about how they feel.

it has to do with poorness. a lot of poor people dont give a fuck, they dont have nice shit to begin with and they have other stuff on their mind (like just getting by) than to clean some shit up in front of their place.

they could be doing something to get out of that situation but it takes a lot to go above and beyond and some people just dont think its worth the effort.

Yes I have lived in a hood like that, i still do! I have freinds that are locked up like animals who pose no threat 2 society. All because of snitches! I don't agree with the killing but both her and the drug dealers are victims of the american goverment. When the BPP, Malcolm X, MLK and others have tried to lift up impoverished communities with no outside help, the FBI and CIA will either try to discredit them on bunk charges or just murder them altogether. I don't think that aspect of our goverment (nor their involvment in South America with the Iran-Contra affair) should be forgotten when these kinds of things are brought up.

I think it's a double edged sword! If the lady was quiet she still could of been killed! What if one of those dealers started shooting and her children were innocent bystanders??

It's really sad what happened to that woman and her family in Baltimore and i wish the cops had done a better job trying to protect her and her family.
