No you didn't miss any, the one I was thinking of is the second one you posted. Why do you think that's not it?

btw the second is brolic by killah priest // 3day theory
I have analyzed this track many times.
First of all, in the instrumental you can hear that there is a guitar-like instrument that comes and goes on top of the strings, when its not there you can still hear that its somewhere in the other channel in the background. I believe that is on the original sample. Can't find that sound in the greek loop.
Second, in the greek song there is a bell-like instrument on top of the loop all the time, in both channels, which cant be filtered out, and left no residue on the final track. Also, when i pitch the lopp, the key is wrong.
I dont think this is the track. Could be wrong, but I have my doubts.
What do you think?
i think that rza replayed that on his own style...
no sampling...
Duotone True Master produced it, though you could still be right about RZA re-playing it.
Patriquino I was going to load it into FL studio and mess with it but it sounds like you did all that already. After listening to it and the Tragedy instrumental I hear what you're talking about but it still sounds really close to me. Maybe a different version of that song?
True Master produced it and rza co-produced it
Ok so I loaded the Greek joint into FL(what's he name of the song?) and the only thing stopping me from thinking this is it is that in Tragedy you can hear hats in the background when the main melody is playing, but only then. So that leads me to believe that they're part of that sample. I'm going mess with the Roger Webb joint just to rule it out.
Now this is a good discussion. Dissecting samples is a fine art.
I almost thought i found the sample in:
Three Dog Nights - I'd Be So Happy @ 2.41 (right channel, down pitched -8 semitones)

But it wasnt even close, but i really hoped it would be it since i found it in such an obscure place.
This is in my opinion one of the very best wu productions, all time.
tragedy's hook melody was taken out of this one (0:35-0:46)

From the assassin' intro?
