Chicago Public Schools have lost close to 40 kids to violence this year alone. Recently we had a 14-15 yr. old kid who got beat up, shot in the head, then burned, and was left in a gangway between two houses. Anyone from Chi has probably heard about this. The kid's family claimed that he wasn't in a gang, but someone posted a pic in another forum showing the very same kid flashing a gang sign along with his gang name. The kid was supposedly out of school since September. The problems sometimes start at home. Irresponsible parent/s are sometimes to blame. They have no idea who their kids hang out with, don't notice that their kids new tatoo is a gang symbol, then the parent blames everyone but themselves when the kid either gets killed or kills someone else.
Very true man. This is a fucked up world we live in but i definitely blame the parents for their kids being bad. Like i said, parents shouldn't be having kids if they aren't gonna discipline their kids. Parents also need to stop blaming the teachers and principals at these schools when their kids get in trouble. It's not the teachers and principals fault that these kids are bad. That's why black schools are always going to be terrible.
exactly, the generation before them is fucked up so the generation they're raisin' is gon be fucked up if the cycle continues...but ALL schools wont ALWAYS be terrible but SELECT school will eventually manufacture a better education system for all the right purposes
Exactly. People point to shit like video games, movies, music and all that nonsense, when they don't go right to the source. parents don't do shit to teach their kids right and wrong, set bad examples, and then kids go to school already losing. then, the system is fucked with teachers that don't care or only have a job because the area is bad, and everything goes downhill. then when a kid does something horrible they break down how many times a week he wore dark clothes.
Good values seem to not get taught to the young anymore.
Providing food, clothes, and shelter is not enough to be a good parent.
this may be because people are becoming parents too young, and remember their uncool parents, and think they want to be "cool" with their kids, and let them do what they want and don't teach them anything out of fear of being a preacher or something.
