Raphael Perez and Raphael Betancourt were unhittable 2 years ago, now they both suck.
Chamberlain is better off in the pen. With that kind of heater, he is taylor made for the bullpen.
So if you have ur butt buddy bruney and Joba and Mo back there, they Yankees would be unbeatable after 7 innings.
All they would need is a solid 6 from a starter and the lead.
You clearly don't remember or were not old enough to remember the real reason behind the Yankees going on that run in the late 90's.
Yankees had one of the worst bullpen ERA and a top 4 starting ERA in the AL in 2000 and still won the World Series that year, your point?Quote:

Im not saying starting pitching isn't important, but you can get be with average starters if you have 2 good ones.

Yeah that was a big one to get the 1st game on a road trip. People wanna see the road trip go well after the big homestand. Hughes has looked good. Joba's looked a little bit better, still gotta keep those walks down. Texas is a legit team so they're gonna be another good test. Yanks should've took 2 outta 3 on the Phils, not scoring with men on 1st and 2nd no outs in the 10th inning of game 3.

Yeah but with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of 10th, no outs, it erases all that with one base hit. I don't blame Gardner for being agressive, that's what he's for. He's a great fielder and I love seeing plays like that from guys out there. Still think we should've won 2 of 3.

I loved the hard slide into Andrus today by Teixeira. Started a rally right there and I also loved how Burnett pitched today.

Boston's tough at home this year. They're under .500 on the road. Wins against Boston are going to come. Losing the first 6 of the season is a lot better than losing the last 6 to a teamin your Div. for now I'm not getting concearned. I know we will be able to beat these guys come playoff time.
