the draw works out so that the top 5 teams in the league will avoid each other. so you will have games like arsenal vs wigan in LA and chelsea vs reading in tokyo. like i said all 20 clubs have agreed to it. its gonna start in the 2010/2011 season.Quote:

it really does go against the heart and soul of football.
i can see it in american football, because teams move around, they come they go. they are only feesable if they are making money. and expanding the fanbase brings in more money.
but with the premiership, and european football in general, its different. every town, city, metropolisis basically has a team. even the biggest teams have been relegated for the most part atleast once in their exsitence. the people are just more invested to me. its a part of who they are.
over here you can be a buffalo bills fan today and in a couple years have your team in toronto, for good. what the f is that? do you still support them? do you hate them because they bounced on all the hardcore fans? that shit would never happen in the european game. you love millwall(even though most everyone hates millwall) if they are in the premiership or if they are in division two.
to me playing matches all over the world just to make money is like whoring out the game. i hate having something i love turned into a whore.
i dont think it will materialise when 90% of fans are against it. The FA wouldnt dare do anything wrong after the mclaren cock up!!

well they do have the pre-season tours. but having actual league games for points is jus different.
