If you are a single mother, the more kids you have means the more means for funds. In the old days, kids from poor families went to work at an early age, like 16, to help provide for families...and back then infant mortality rates were higher than now, so people popped out more kids.

The thing is, the country is different today...more jobs are outsourced or taken over by machines. You can't be a high school dropout and still get a good job, unlike back in the day. It used to be you only need an eight grade education, then it was high school, now you need at least an associates degree, or probably a bachelors if you want a decent job.

Also with rising prices, and all of these 'extra expenses' we all have nowadays like internet, car payments, insurance, cell phone bills just to name a few.

IT was simpler back then, even when my father was young, and he is only 50.
Times have changed, families used to be alot bigger then, but now with all the expenses it doesnt make sense, and you get stuck dependent on the govt.
I attribute it to city life alot....city life was good when there was plenty of jobs, but thats not the case anymore. Nobody owns land they can farm, they are dependent on food chains and fast food, there are no neighborhood stores or private owned mom and pop places anymore...its all corporate BS. That will be the death of America....corporate monopolistic takeover. In a sense that is almost like 'economic dictatorship'....

but thats just the tip of the iceberg.

I agree with Rubyspirit that if you don't work for food, then you shouldn't eat. But i also realize that there are some homeless people who have mental problems and they need jobs too.

I'm glad i'm a single black male because i'm tired of meeting black women that got attitude problems, kids and are materialistic. I asked a black woman co-worker of mine named Sharon a few days ago if she could show me her cute smile and her response was get outta my face with that dumb shit. I've never liked MTV. The tv network has been racist since day one. The only reason why Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, Prince's videos got played on there is because their music appeals to not only blacks but whites too. Has there been any other black r&b artist that has had their videos played on MTV before Lionel, Michael, Prince? Only reason why Run DMC were the first rappers to have their videos played on MTV is because their music had rock and roll in it. Rock Box, King Of Rock, Walk This Way songs have rock in them and that's the only reason those videos got played on MTV. When BET came on the scene, MTV saw how BET was playing a lot of rap videos so they copied BET.

I experience it the other way around. I find black girls friendlier and more down to earth and mature than most white girls.

I just saw Kevin Durant of Texas University declared himself for the NBA draft after one season of college basketball. I guess education isn't important to him because i bet you he won't go back to school and finish his education and get a college degree. He's chasing the money like most college black athletes. I hope Greg Oden stays at Ohio State and gets his degree. He seems like he's smart because he has a very good grade point average and he said he likes college so we'll see what happens if he decides to stay. What black college athletes need to realize is that education is more important than sports because if a college athlete leaves school early and goes pro, what happens if they get hurt and can't play again? Then what? You don't have a college degree so what job can you get once your sports career is cut short? I think the NBA should've made the age limit 21 to get drafted so black high school athletes can go to college and get a degree instead of skipping college. Look at Kwame Brown's punk ass. He ain't shit. He should've took his ass to college. I know that there's been a lot of good NBA players that came from high school like Lebron, KG, Shawn Kemp, Tracy McGrady, Darryl Dawkins, Moses Malone, Jermaine O Neal but these guys are a exception.

I don't think it's a race thing, but more a fashion thing. These days I can't flip through the music channels without seeing some idiots with golden teeth jumping up and down in their cars and yelling obscenities all over the place.

Yeah rappers with gold teeth are ignorant and uneducated fools.
