I watch several epl games a week, every week. Along with the other 3 big leagues, plus some Argientien games too.

Ya Man U at times can play nice, a lot of it is because of only C.Ron or nani. I like berbatov and what spurs do at times too. But overall, for the majority its not attractive possesion football. Liverpool and Chelsea play shit football. Thats half of the big 4.

Liverpool won in 05. Man U in 99. Arsenal got to the finals in 06. Liverpool in 07. Other than those...not one english winner or finalist in the past 25ish years. That is saying something.

And what do you think of Argentine football? I've watched some on Channel 5 in the uk and saw some while in Buenos Aires and I have to say they were all shit.

Well I've seen plenty of stunning performances by Man U this season, and Nani isn't even a regular starter, so I dunno how you figure that. I guess their problem is all those boring hard grind players like Tevez, Giggs & Rooney.

Yep, it's saying that we're on the up. I think you're also forgetting that English teams were banned from Europe between 1985 and 1990.

Yep, it's saying that we're on the up. I think you're also forgetting that English teams were banned from Europe between 1985 and 1990.

From a football purists point of view, one that likes nice free flowing attacking attractive football, the argentine league is definatly better. But the BPL also benifiets from having a lot better players (because of all the $$ in the league) than the clasura. Not to mentions the Argies good players get pipped quite younge. Like i said, the BPL is plenty entertaining. Even two lower level teams can make for a fun game to watch. But in terms of what really makes football nice, it just doesnt do it all the time.

Rooney, Giggz, Tevez are all great players. But like you said, they are grind it out players. Even C.Ron when he played againt Milan last year, or against Italy this year for Porto didnt do A THING. Because they dont play the game how its played in England. He has emence skill and speed. The english game suits him because theres so much space it allows him to fly at, than by, defenders. When the game gets compact and he has to combine and move the balls and make good passes things get tougher for him.

Like someone else said argueing which league is better gets you no where. But the english do like to tout their league and their national team as the best around, when they never seem to win anything. (Or at least in proportion to the way the big up themselves).

the argentine league is great to watch. i try to watch as many games as i can. a lot of talented players on show their.

with the champs league draws, i do see roma doing something. i think they are playing effective football at the right time. they could beat man utd, if they get it tactically right on the night.

liverpool - arsenal is jus gonna be like a premiership game, the team that does well away and grabs the away goals will most likely go through.

chelsea have an easy tie against fenerbahce, chelsea will jus need to defend well in this game, fenerbahce have a lot going forward but even the weakest teams in the turkish league can easily penetrate their defense.

barcelone - schalke should be interesting schalke are good and can spring a surprise. it all depends on how well barca can play really. when there forwards get going no one can stop them.

i read something that some people think the draw is fixed. a guy on liverpool's message board said he gaurentted the draw would be what it was an hour before it was done. bookies even stopped taking bets before the draw because of it.

could be coinsodence. could be roman flexing his green muscles. i mean chelsea did draw the weakest team left...

certain balls could have been slightly different material. had a substance on them. put in a freezer before hand so they just picked the two cold ones....just some thoughts.

UEFA spokesman William Gaillard has publicly denied that there was any ‘fix’ in the draw.“There is no way that the draw was rigged,” Gaillard insisted.
“This draw was made in front of millions of TV viewers and so many officials – I just don’t see how it could be possible.

this is all stereotypes ppl assume the italian league is dull cause the italian national team plays a defensive game. i jus watched roma beat milan and it was a pretty exciting game.
the German league has always been good, the only reason why no one talks about the bundeliga being the top league is because bayern are the only succesfull team in europe they have. German league is all entertaining though.
dnt overrate the premiership jus cause they have 4 teams in the champs league.

sorry but european performances don't make a team. the way to judge a team is how they go domestically ... you haven't the league for 19/20 years. there is only a big 3 and with chel$ki's demise just around the corner it's soon to be a big 2

the bundesliga is more exciting to watch but ya'll sleep on it and would just hate on it anyway

I watch Italian football every sunday (when there's not a good prem game that clashes). it's a good league, I just find it a little dull at times. there are some exciting games, but the general pace is a bit slow for my liking.

I also watch the Spanish league fairly regularly. The skillful players get alot more time on the ball than in the Prem. Alot of players who are successful in the Spanish league would not be successful in the Prem, but alot of players who struggle in the prem go on to be successful in the Spanish league (Forlan, Rossi etc).

Of the three, the Prem is by far the most entertaining to watch and is around the same level technically as the other two.

If we were gonna be picky, I'd say the Prem was technically the lowest rated of the three leagues, but not by much and it more than makes up for it in entertainment.

The fact that the England team is a bag of shite and full of over rated wankers shouldn't cloud people's judgement about how good the English league is.
