and as much as i like toni, he was not having a great tourny, would you have wanted him to take one if you were the coach? not me.

who bash spain and germany for makin the final
and refuse to accept the fact that italy didnt do well in this tourney

for real whitey i thought u lost it or u were tying while drinkin your 20th beer

however, italy squad is gettin old and i dont see any new talent coming out
to replace the likes of pirlo, gattuso, del piero, zambrotta, cannavarro, buffon,grosso, camoranessi, panucci, materazzi, toni, etc
those guys are in their 30s and it could be their last world cup...that is if they make it (the squad)

italy need to stop dependin on those guys and find replacements
or else italy aint winning anything for awhile

And on the note of Italys team age, yea the age at that tourny was old. But they have a golden generation coming up. Their under 21s just won the Tulone (spelling) tournament in France this year. They have some real good young players...Gioncovo, Ballotelli, Lazenfame, Palochi, Chinelli, Rossi, and a bunch of others. Don't worry about the Azzuri, they got their shit together.

i know whitey posted some names from the u 21 tulone games
but same goes for argentina they won the u-21 2 years back
and i havnt seen or heard anything baout them players
however there was alot of noise about pato and jo from brazil

who was there to replace cannavaro, pirlo and gatuoso at the euro??
italy needs a good bench (like spain holland germany etc)

if i see the same squad at the next world cup, i doubt italy will win the tourney
italy will qualify for the WC coz they are in an easy group
