i've been so busy helping wit my mums side hustle hot chilli sauce bizness because she's a nurse, while she's been abroad on holiday that i ain't had the time yet to give these mixtapes a proper listen, theirs no hi fi system at her house where the bizness is based at, but our probably go back to my flat on the weekend or late next week when i start college and give em a rinse out then
Two of my favorite Jeezy mixtapes by far. The track with Boosie is one of my favorites.
yeah jeezy represents, its a sad situation wit boosie, he's shit was smooth, but slick & gangsta at the same time, i hope he beats he's case, its a sad situation all around, real talk, i hope they don't give him the death penalty because i heard the court system down south in places like louisianna is on some medieval type shit, for real
yea i hear they don't play in louisiana.
TX and VA are top for death penalty I believe.
I might go pick up UGK - Dirty Money today.
Mixtapes shouldn't be for sale. Just for free...
^ yeah, i would have a hard choice picking a favorite as far as production goes because they are both representing the signature sound of Pete Rock altho they are a little bit different - Deda's are a little darker and alot more jazzy: i believe most samples that were used were jazz records while InI has more of a soul element to it. lyrically Deda is dope for a guest verse but a whole album gets a little tiresome so as far as lyrics i give the nod to InI. either way it's a real shame they never got a proper release by Elektra in 1995 and 1996 cuz they stand amongst Pete's finest production work.
no doubt, i been bumpin them again all morning, on the production tip both are equal but im starting to dig deeper into the lyrics and InI is real dope. So is Deda, but the album didnt stay as fresh after a few full spins (i probably shouldnt bump albums on repeat haha) , both are incredible albums though. agreed, it would have been dope if these saw proper release

I just bought Underground Kingz and I'm gonna start looking for Super Tight, Ridin Dirty, and Too Hard To Swallow online. It's impossible to find any UGK material from the 90s in Winnipeg so I'm gonna have to start my search online.
black milk- album of the year
^How is it?
off first listen, shit is ill, but i gotta let it digest a lil bit, but in my opinion, its a step up lyrically and the production is fuckin top notch, i wanna say flawless
best tracks so far- black and brown, gotta go, deadly medley
i haven't listened to album of the year all the way through yet. sounds good so far though.
