What makes you so sure that there is physically a problem with your brain? You said you saw a psychiatrist and he/she refused to run any tests on your brain. This might suggest that whatever problems you might have are not serious and can be overcome, and the fact that you seem to be quite aware of your supposed short comings and the effect they are having on you would seem to back up this theory. I think before giving in to the idea that you have some sort of disability which should allow you special treatment, you need to either spend some more time with your psychiatrist, or go and see another one if you don't trust your current one's analysis of you, in order to sort out exactly what might be holding you back from doing the things you want to do.

This scenario you've presented here sounds like bad parenting to blame as much as the music. People are always quick to blame outside sources for their bad ass kids but I know it all starts at home. If you don't give your kid any kind of moral foundation to stand on up to the point that they can be brain washed listening to some mindless rap music, who's really to blame?

The real problem with these kind of arguments is that they're taken on such a simplistic approach that's devoid of takin all the other kind of factors that come into account to the point where you're really not addressing the real issue. Just think about this, the straight-up pop music of the world has gone from the Beatles of the 60's to the fuckin Backstreet Boys of early 2000. It's not just the hip-hop world. Popular music as a whole is on a downward slope in both perspective and talent. What's caused this to happen?

What kind of problem is it?

I have a problem figuring things out and i'm terrible at studying because it's hard for me to remember what i'm studying especially if i'm studying schoolwork. Like for example, my father has shown me several times how to change a car flat tire and i still wouldn't know what to do if i had a flat tire. Another time my father took me driving to show me how to drive a stick shift truck so i could get my CDL license so i could drive delivery trucks. I kept messing up when i was driving his truck so i just gave up and stopped studying for my CDL license. I'm telling ya'll something is wrong with my brain and i hate it because if i was able to figure things out, i would've had my own place a long time ago and i would've had a better paying job. I think iam gonna go see another psychiatrist because i want a different opinion and i want some tests run on my brain to see what's wrong. My mom told me yesterday that i need to get my own place and i told her i would if i had a job making some real money instead of the job i got right now making bullshit money. I work 2 jobs now and i'm tired of working 2 jobs and both jobs don't pay enough money for me to move outta my parents house. I get $9 a hour at my day job and at my night job, i get $6.65 a hour. That ain't shit. A damn high school student can get paid the same salary i'm getting. I'm so sick of my life. I swear i wanna kill myself so bad because i think i'd be better off dead anyway. I can't take care of myself making bullshit money and no job is gonna feel sorry for me and offer me a good paying job because don't nobody give a shit about me.

Thats too bad that you couldn't drive a truck....some companies pay $$$. If you did construction it wouldnt be too bad. Even if its just road construction...you could start by being the guy who holds the stop/slow sign if the road is down to 1 lane.

I'd prefer to be one of the house or building construction guys.

One other option is to work for a town or city parks department...they pay not too bad and you get more with seniority. If you live in a place that has snow in the winter then you can drive a plow when you arent maintaining the parks. Then you can actually work in a nice environment.

I don't know what your problem is...I dont think you can just be labeled as "stupid", but you might just have short term memory loss.

Your gifts are something else Charles - quit looking at your faults and what people have told you your whole life that you suck at.

You have something else that your really good at. You know what your good at- it might not be something that makes money in this world - but it's something you the best in the world at.

Aw man I feel sorry for you. What kind of jobs you got? Yeah, I work 2 jobs and I'm starting a third and I get lots of help from friends, and it's hard still. I feel you. It's too bad you couldn't do truck driving or nothing.
