Brady has been suspended four games by the NFL after the Wells Report (warning: contains profanity) reached a conclusion that the superstar quarterback was "at least generally aware of the inappropriate activities" related to the Deflategate controversy. The New England Patriots were fined $1 million and will forfeit a first-round pick in 2016 and a fourth-round pick in 2017.
The NFL announced a four-game suspension for Brady to begin the 2015 season, according to the Around the NFL Twitter account. The league also punished the Patriots organization, per Around the NFL:Full NFL release: The New England Patriots were notified today of the following discipline that has been imposed for violations of the NFL Policy on Integrity of the Game and Enforcement of Competitive Rules relating to the use of under-inflated footballs in the AFC Championship Game of this past season: For the violation of the playing rules and the failure to cooperate in the subsequent investigation, the New England Patriots are fined $1 million and will forfeit the club’s first-round selection in the 2016 NFL Draft and the club’s fourth-round selection in the 2017 NFL Draft. If the Patriots have more than one selection in either of these rounds, the earlier selection shall be forfeited. The club may not trade or otherwise encumber these selections. Patriots owner Robert Kraft advised Commissioner Roger Goodell last week that Patriots employees John Jastremski and James McNally have been indefinitely suspended without pay by the club, effective on May 6th. Neither of these individuals may be reinstated without the prior approval of NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations Troy Vincent. If they are reinstated by the Patriots, Jastremski is prohibited from having any role in the preparation, supervision, or handling of footballs to be used in NFL games during the 2015 season. McNally is barred from serving as a locker room attendant for the game officials, or having any involvement with the preparation, supervision, or handling of footballs or any other equipment on game day. Quarterback Tom Brady will be suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2015 regular season for conduct detrimental to the integrity of the NFL. Brady may participate in all off-season, training camp and pre-season activities, including pre-season games. Commissioner Goodell authorized the discipline that was imposed by NFL Executive President Troy Vincent, pursuant to the commissioner’s disciplinary authority under the NFL Constitution and Bylaws and the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the NFL Players Association. “We reached these decisions after extensive discussion with Troy Vincent and many others,” Commissioner Goodell said. “We relied on the critical importance of protecting the integrity of the game and the thoroughness and independence of the Wells report.”
The Patriots were clearly the best team last season whether a few balls were low in air or not. lol

Over eleven years before DeflateGate, former NFL quarterback A.J. Feeley says that Tom Brady and the Patriots were using doctored footballs. In an interview with 97.5 The Fanatic, Feeley told a revealing story about playing the Patriots in 2004, when he was a backup quarterback on the Miami Dolphins.
Prior to Brady and Peyton Manning forcing through a 2006 rule change that allowed each team to "customize" their own footballs (within a certain standard, of course), NFL rules had teams use brand new footballs provided by the league for each game. In 2004, however, Feeley says that the Patriots were using their own worn-in footballs during home games, leaving the opposing offense to chuck around a slippery new football.
“Somehow this beat-up ball from the ball boy was getting thrown in on offense for New England, yet when we were on offense this orange brand new ball was getting thrown in," Feeley said.
Feeley noted how a worn-in football (aka deflated and roughed up a bit to soften the leather) would give an offense an advantage. He knew something was off, but when he brought it up to the Dolphins' defensive coaches and players, his concerns went ignored. Shunned by his own teammates, Feeley went and asked the ball boy what the hell was up. The response?
“I even said something to the ball boy, and he gave me a smirk," said Feeley.
A smirk?
CHEATERS.
iron sheik has been obsessed with hating the Patriots and Brady for years now. lol
----The NFL is moving back extra-point kicks and allowing defenses to score on 2-point conversion turnovers
The owners on Tuesday approved the competition committee's proposal to snap the ball from the 15-yard line on PATs to make them more challenging. In recent seasons, kickers made more than 99 percent of the kicks with the ball snapped from the 2.
That proposal places the 2-point conversion at the 2, and allows the defense to return a turnover to the other end zone for the two points, similar to the college rule.

New York Giants pull $60M offer to Jason Pierre-Paul
The New York Giants are withdrawing their $60 million long-term contract offer to Jason Pierre-Paul following the star pass rusher's fireworks incident over the weekend, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday, per three sources informed of the situation.
JPP suffered a hand injury Saturday night while attempting to light fireworks. He required hospitalization, and will remain in a Miami-area hospital for the next few days. Rapoport reported JPP's hand will be intact, and as of Sunday night, doctors were still examining for nerve damage and other issues related to the incident.

--- Mistress of former NFL player kills his wife and then herself
A former NFL player's mistress, apparently jealous that he was taking his wife on a trip to Las Vegas, drove to his home near Atlanta, kidnapped her romantic rival and led officers on a chase into Alabama before killing the wife and herself, police said.
Lisa Brown, 46, showed up at the workplace of former Buffalo Bills player Buster Barnett on the morning of July 15 and was upset about the planned trip, Clayton County police spokeswoman Officer Charlene Watson-Fraser said. She then went to Barnett's home in Ellenwood and abducted his wife, 50-year-old Sandra Barnett.
Ruby Chester, a longtime friend of Sandra Barnett, said she was on the phone with her about 11:20 a.m. on July 15 when someone knocked on Barnett's door. Chester told The Associated Press that she could hear a woman's voice yelling "Open this door! Open this door or I'm going to kill you!"
Chester said she heard Barnett talking to the woman: "Don't hurt me, ma'am! I don't know you!" Then she asked, "Are you Lisa Brown?"
Chester said she and Sandra Barnett had known each other for 10 years and kept no secrets from each other, so she knew that Buster Barnett, who she said is now an Atlanta school teacher, had been involved in an affair with a woman named Lisa Brown. Chester said Brown had harassed her close friend for at least a couple of years as Barnett tried to keep her marriage together.
"Lisa Brown had been aggressive toward Barnett and had been bothering Barnett off and on for some time — showing up at the house, texting her, calling her," Chester said. But her friend would never do anything about it, leaving it for her husband to handle, Chester said.
Chester tried calling police the day of her last phone call with Sandra Barnett, but wasn't in the same county so she didn't get connected to the correct police department, she later told an officer, according to a police report. She then called Gerald Payton, a friend and co-worker, and asked him to drive by the Barnetts' home.
When Payton arrived, he saw a black Dodge Durango parked in front of the home and a woman in the garage, he told police. He then wrote down the tag number on the SUV, called 911 and drove around the corner to wait for police. Before officers arrived, he saw the SUV drive by but couldn't tell if Barnett was in it, the police report says.
Payton tried calling Barnett several times but kept getting her voicemail.
Sandra Barnett's brother, John Brooks, told police the vehicle belonged to his sister's husband's "ex-girlfriend and that she had some issues," the police report said.
Clayton County police put out a lookout on the Durango. Sheriff's deputies in west Georgia saw the vehicle the next morning and chased it along Interstate 20 into Alabama, police said. The SUV stopped at mile marker 208 on a stretch of the freeway in Cleburne County, Alabama, and a standoff ensued, Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesman Steve Jarrett said in an emailed statement last week.
Police said Brown then reached into the backseat of the SUV, grabbed a gun and shot Sandra Barnett before shooting herself. Both women were dead when officers got to the SUV, authorities said.
Watson-Fraser said she didn't know where the two women were between the time of the abduction late on the morning of July 15 and when authorities spotted them the next day.
Buster Barnett told police he and Brown were in a relationship. He owned her home and vehicle and told police he was "helping her out," Watson-Fraser said.
Crazy black women and I'm not surprised LOL.
lol @ Raiders
this repeat offender bum shouldn't have challenged his 4 game suspension...they shoulda gave him 6-8
League Would've Halved Suspension If Tom Brady Admitted Guilt:
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the NFL was willing to drop the suspension by “at least 50 percent” if Brady: (1) admitted to having knowledge of whatever John Jastremski and Jim McNally were doing to the footballs; (2) admitted to failing to cooperate with the Ted Wells investigation; and (3) apologized.
It’s believed that Brady’s suspension would have been dropped at least to two games, with the possibility of dropping it to one if he were sufficiently persuasive and profuse in his acceptance of guilt.

In his effort to make a bad situation better, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had somehow made it worse.
The 20-page, single-spaced ruling from Commissioner Roger Goodell explains that, in materials submitted by Brady only days before the June 23 hearing, Brady admitted that he destroyed the cell phone that would have contained text messages sent and received during the time period most relevant to the #DeflateGate controversy.
Although characterized as Brady’s habit when purchasing a new cell phone, Goodell’s ruling explains that Brady knew that Ted Wells and company wanted to examine the phone that was coincidentally destroyed and replaced on March 6, the same day that Brady met with Wells. Brady, per Goodell, never suggested that the cell phone had been (or would be) destroyed during that meeting.
It’s a very bad look for Brady, and it’s a highly questionable tactic to affirmatively admit that the phone was destroyed in materials submitted to Goodell in connection with the appeal. As a result, Brady’s receipt of bad advice or his deliberate decision to ignore good advice has now extended from the decision not to accept the invitation to allow lawyer/agent Don Yee to personally review the text messages from the phone to the decision to admit that the cell phone was destroyed.
What benefit does Brady derive from disclosing that in the appeal? Even if it’s his habit to get rid of the phone and the data card within it whenever getting a new phone, that habit must yield to an ongoing investigation in which the contents of the phone and the data card have been deemed to be relevant. And so it’s reasonable to assume that Brady was trying to hide something.
Moreover, the decision to destroy the phone under those circumstances confirms the stereotypical “I do what I want” attitude that a multi-million-dollar quarterback with a supermodel wife and a house with a moat would be expected to project. The decision to admit the destruction of the phone in paperwork aimed at contesting the suspension suggests that Brady was represented by the law firm of Moe, Larry, and Shemp.
Apart from the relevance that the destroyed cell phone may or may not have to the looming legal challenge, this news turns the tables dramatically in the court of public opinion. With nothing in Goodell’s 20-page ruling hinting at the same kind of flaws that were lurking in the 243-page Ted Wells report, it’s going to be very difficult for the #FreeBrady crowd to find a cob of corn into which they can sink their teeth.
But if there’s another side to this story, Brady and company need to disclose it, quickly. Before they do, they need to be certain that whatever is said will actually make this very bad situation better.
