Re: what do yall think of The W
i get in moods where i wanna say the W is the best wu album sometimes.....forever is the best.....but the W was their most innovative album, switched up their whole style. careful, hollow bones, and i cant go to sleep is top 25 wu songs to me....god damn imagine tryin to actually do a top 25 wu song list, too hard
Re: what do yall think of The W
oh my god i forgot about 'let my niggas live'....so fuckin hot
Re: what do yall think of The W
I think on that album Meth got his classical flow from 36 chambers and Tical back, but then it wenat away again.
Just check his verses on The Jump Off and Gravel Pit.
Re: what do yall think of The W
Most of the tracks on the W are brilliant or at least pretty good.
But Conditioner, Protect Ya Neck (the jump off), Do you really, the Monument and Gravel Pit are all pretty average to me. I don't like the bonus track after Jah World either.
But at the end of the day, this cd has 8 great tracks on it.
Also I gotta say that rza's verse on careful isn't great, but otherwise it's a pretty nice song.
Re: what do yall think of The W
The reason why some people do not like The W is because it got released after all their classics. In an interview RZA said he had a plan until 1997 and after they released Wu-Tang Forever he didn't have one anymore. Back to topic again. Wu-Tang released 2 classics with 36Chambers and Wu-Tang Forever, and the anticipation was at its highest before The W dropped. Everyone was expecting a classic, but that didn't happen. Personally The W is a 4 mic album, with classic songs like Hollow Bones, Protect Ya Neck...etc
Re: what do yall think of The W
Production wise this album was the best.
Definite classics- Chamber Music, Careful, One Blood under the W(this track is bumpin)
Good Hits-The Jump Off, Do you Really, Gravel Pit
Could've done without Conditioner and I Can't Sleep. These are probably the two worst WU songs I've EVER heard.
Re: what do yall think of The W
this album was the greatest sounding album ever
the way the beats kept on changing - even in the same track (protect ya neck, monument, etc)
lyrics off the hook
the album was all over the place
it was like a universal tour
wu at their absolute best
gritty dirty sophisticated intelligent enlightening
this album was huge
it belongs in a fine art museum or something
PEACE
i have never heard anything like this album before or since
Re: what do yall think of The W
IMO the W has the best production of the 4.
Re: what do yall think of The W
This was def my 3rd fav of the big 4 Wu LPs. It was nice and short. I think it was a real good follow up to Wu Forever and slept on. I listen to it all the time.
Re: what do yall think of The W
dont play it much anymore but i still love it

Agreed!! Very gritty, grimey, rugged, and raw!! Peace to the Gods!
Re: what do yall think of The W
I liked it alot for real...it has more soul than any other Wu album! But there is something missing on the album and I don't like the featurings out of the WU camp! RZA shoulda have continued rhyming on 'GOTTA CHECK OUT THE W' I felt the whole beat and all!..The version they have on Iron Flag dosen't do it for me...'CAUSE RZA IS MISSING!

Amazing,
I can't go to sleep is my favorite wu-tang song.
I love the W, songs like, Hollow Bones, I can't go to sleep, and Jah World are some of my favorite wu tang songs of all time.
I play it more then the pervious two albums, although I'll be the first to tell you that 36 and forever are superior albums
Re: what do yall think of The W
Production side of this album is light years ahead of its time. You need to listen to this album several times over and over to really appreciate the work it is. Damn near classic album, but songs like Conditioner reallllly bring it down. This CD is near classic and probably was one of the best albums of 2000.
Re: what do yall think of The W
not even close to their best in my opinion.
