You're not a dumb dude, but what you wrote is stupid because you obviously know that no decent human being would choose money over or at the expense of his family. You know very well what I meant.

That's cool, mate. I'm happy for you. I have no qualms with what you did. The only thymes I've got pissed off about it are when I thought you were lying.
It's just up to the individual really, and what they want. For me personally, like I said I would love to be in a position where I had an audience who wanted to hear my music. So I'd be all about trying to make something memorable for them. Honestly as much if not more for myself, than for them.
This whole thread was misunderstood. Probably cos I'm not your usual Wu fan. I've barely heard anything that came out of the Wu camp in the last 8 years. As with hip hop in general. I've never heard any of the Wuki stuff. Not a single track. If this album had come out I probably wouldn't have even known for at least a month after the fact, then forgotten to dl it for at least a few more weeks, and then listened to it maybe an absolute maximum of 10 thymes before I forgot about it.
That's no reflection of the quality of the music. Just where I'm at with hip hop these days.
There is absolutely not the slightest trace of bitterness from me in regards to being 'deprived' of hearing this album. The thread was about making money while basically erasing the existence of your work, as opposed to putting it out there to be recognised and take its place among the Wu-Tang discography.
But there's obviously a lot more to it than I allowed. I never even followed the whole story with this album. I heard about it in its very early stages when you were asking people for their dream line ups for tracks and stuff, and then I left off and didn't hear about it again until the Schreli thing. Then I haven't heard about it since. I don't keep up with these things at all, quite clearly.
Oh, I did hear about the whole museum and single copy thing somewhere in between too.
But yeah, cool to hear about all the other aspects of this. I guess I was making assumptions that it was all but forgotten and a total miss to begin with, while there was a lot more going on that I didn't know about. The Guiness Book of Records spot is pretty cool in itself, I must say.
Anyway, good discussion.
Fair game. Bong bizza bong doodle
Cilva, I know it's early, but can you give any insight on the new project you're working on?
No sorry, not for a few years
Haha, here we go again!
Thread over ^
Cilva, u should re-make ouatis, like do all the tracks again, and release it normally, just to make skreli look like an arse.
Contractually not allowed to, nor remix
i still don't believe this album exists.
Why would anyone want to read a book about the making of an album that they're never going to hear? I would rather watch a movie about Bill Murray helping to steal the album, because at least that's obviously fictional. Making a book about this just seems like an egregious cash grab and an obvious attempt to both make money from superfans on top of the money that you already made selling the album. Just seems greedy to me.
I'm definitely interested in reading about it, working with the Wu members, ect. Post announcement plans, the release, ect.
Might even ask Ringz to sign the book for me. haha
I had my times of bitterness but it's just cool to see what Ringz has done. Thumbs up
