the Germans ordered a huge amount of tests in time, which might go toward explaining why they seem to be handling containment well. they reacted more swiftly than their neigboring countries when they saf the first development of the disease in Italy.

I have no explanation for the German speaking part of Switzerland though.

Also, I saw an interview with a German doctor yesterday who stated that so far most patients there are around 40 years old (better chances at healing) but that they are now beginning to see more elderly people at the hospitals, whose survival chances are lower.

so the situation in Germany might slowly get worse. or not, it's hard to make predictions, not being a scientist and all.


it looks like the French government is expecting things to get (much) worse in their country soon. an even stricter policy is now in place (people staying in etc.) and they are bringing patients to the west of the country (some eastern regions have reached full capacity), to Germany and to Luxemburg, a country as big as CEITED's tiled living room.

330 million people in this country. Stores are still open, it's cold, people are still travelling, and we have governors and a President who lacks an understanding of what's going on. They're concerned about the economy because they don't what to shut down the country. We're in trouble. People are losing their jobs (thankfully I'm still employed), cleaning supplies are always sold out, and people are constantly not listening regarding social distancing. Non-essential businesses are open even through they should be closed.

I'm hoping in mid April or May, this virus will go away.

I'd hope for mid April for the US too but I think it could last till the end of May. experts around here seem to be mentioning 10 weeks for the virus to die down a lot. I guess it's hard to predict any which way you look at it. but looking at what happened in other countries and the measures that were taken there I really think mid April is too optimistic for the US

I've seen gatherings of white families last week when I was out collecting data/sampling. People were looking at me as if I was infected. Lol.

I have a theory on this. Yes, there were some idiots having parties at gas stations and cookouts outside at parks but that's only a small number of people doing idiotic things. I have some older family members/friends would have contracted the virus. One person died. I believe he was 80.

Also, with blacks, some jobs (no all) are deemed essential. In the city, hospitals are at capacity so getting a prescription to get tested is expensive. It's crazy because even though the virus came from China, it's now looked as a black people's disease.

There was a large gathering at a Citgo gas station on the Eastside. Drugs, fast cars, women dancing, people on social media, etc. I've seen gatherings at liquor stores, too. No one was shot or anything. I guess people are bored but there's a nasty virus out here. People don't understand what's going on.

The ones suffering the worst are the eye-talians who always have extra food and supplies on hand. I never have less than 18 eggs on hand. Once I go through a pack, I immediately re-up. Since the corona hit, I’ve increased my inventory to no less than 36. Yesterday, I went to the grocery store and 18 large eggs were over $5. I bought a dozen organic cage-free instead. It was actually cheaper.

Now, I can’t find dish-washer detergent anywhere. I mean I get everyone is eating at home more which means more dirty dishes, but fuck, I like to hold an extra bottle of that too. I’m down to my last bottle and it’s not my usual brand.

My toilet paper, pasta and sauce stash is still good, and I was able to get my hands on a little more ammo. I just need an egg and dish washer soap connect.

I didn’t even realize she got that much until I went down there to get something.

It's really inconsiderate. There are idiots talking about they won't take the vaccine as if they don't have any older family members to consider beyond their paranoia that doctors and medical science are out to get them.

I dont think they will rush it, they have the same laws and procedures to follow as with any other vaccine. That's why it might take a year or two anyway. If it is rushed I just won't take it. A lot of the concerns I read weren't about it being rushed, rather the anti vaxxer movement where some people just don't accept that vaccines work and aren't a conspiracy to kill them.

The WHO leader also has ties to the CCP. He is not the ideal person to lead the organization.

Nick Gooch, since the quarantine went into effect, Pennsylvania shut down liquor stores. Now the governors of Ohio and West Vagina has to ban us high class Pennsylvanians from coming to your state and buying up your liquor.
