American culture, to me, always brings up the men's urinal analogy; if they stand next to a guy then he has to look to see if his is bigger, while europe are more prone to adopting the 'one space buffer' rule as there's nothing to prove (egocentricity). America try too hard ultimately, and it's gonna hit them hard both economically and politically. Don't be disheartened though, europe has had its share of tribulation, they just got a lot of it out of the system over the last 2000 years or so.
On a final note, I know that Americans like ripping on the English language, but they also like riding on Shakespeare like they're at a rodeo, it might take a hundred or so years before they fully understand irony. Also, it really irritates me when Americans call their language 'American' like its a whole new language, it really isn't, it's just a brutal attack on the English language with dumbed down spellings and loose fitting grammatic conventions.
One thing I have noticed, American chicks love suckin the cock, which I'll give them due credit for.
