Dashboard Confessional - Places That You Have Come to Fear the Most
Lifehouse - self titled
Lucky Boys Confusion - Commitment
Michael Jackson - Thriller
Beatles - White album
ive never took the time to listen to classic albums (non rap)...dun ever know why
but i came to loving Radiohead and decided to buy "The Bends"
now THAT is classic to me
My personal favorites
Non hip-hop= Pixies Bossanova, Weezer Blue Album, Beatles White album
Hip-hop= 36 chambers, Straight outta Compton
i associate everything with hip hop so its difficult to say 'non hip hop'.
my favorite album is prolly OutKast 'Aquemini'.
beautiful music and very lyrical.
its their only album worth buyin though, maybe stankonia
Some people really need to extend beyond hip-hop... I can't name just 'one' album, so it's gonna be one for every genre I like basically.
Hip-Hop - Raekwon - OB4CL
Soul - Stevie Wonder - Songs In The Key Of Life
Funk - Funkadelic - Maggot Brain
Pop - TIE:Prince - Purple Rain or Michael Jackson - Thriller
Rock - The Beatles - The Beatles
Avant-Garde Pop - Bjork - Homogenic
There are heaps of runner ups though, just a few include Hot Buttered Soul, Superfly, Odelay, Sea Change, Homogenic, Liquid Swords, Chronic/Doggystyle, Let's Get It On, I Want You, What's Going On, Innervisions, Spirit Man.. there are about 50 more I could run off the top of my head.
36 Chambers probably
