Barca controlled that game but couldnt do anything offensively. Man Utd defended really well.
Barca's ball movement is unmatched though, real slick.
C.Ronaldo was schooled by Zambrotta. he didnt do much but complain and miss a penalty. Not a pretty game though, i think Man Utd played for a draw they showed no intent in going forward.
0 intent on going forward. when you bring rooney and tevez back to midfielders and almost backs, you are not trying to score. barca for me lacked pace in their ball movement. they were controlling the game very nice, but when there was a glimmer of space they didnt really run at the defence to exploit it. barley any wing play to try and get endline and cross the ball in. i think henry should have played from the start as well.
to me barca really miss ronnie (at his peak) for someone to create something special in the middle of the park 30 yards and in, weither it be a great pass, shot, free kick, ect. it was too stagnant.
second leg should be interesting, messi a week fitter.
haven't watched it but it seems asif untied let barca do what they want ... reaaaally should of scored ... i don't think either side is in the box seat for the return leg and maybe only 1 goal tops will be scored ... you're right with mess ^^ one more week of fitness and another la liga fixture to get in his groove should do him good ...
tomorrow is bayern v zenit ... really tricky fixture this because what i saw of them against leverkusen in this first leg they got some pace out wide ... toni is suspended so we gotta really on the klose/podolski show who haven't done much all season ... MVB has a broken nose i think but he's soldiering on ... schweinsteiger is out of sorts and we could REALLY use altintop i can't say that enough such a critical injury at a time when depth and rotation is needed :(

christian lell has to be the biggest surprise packet of the season ... he's pretty much gone from like 3rd choice at best for bayern to a possible bolter for germany's euro 2008 campaign ... he's kept marcell jansen out of the team alot and i've basically forgotten that sagnol is even there although if willy wasn't injured he'd probably play alot more ... good to see our depth hold it's own ... players like ottl and toni kroos aswell ...
flamini looks like he's on the way out for reasons other than money :S then why leave if money isn't the issue ?? players get so bitchy these days ... look for him to move to juve ... not that arsenal will care they'll replace him no doubt
