what is up with barca. all that fire power and they cant get any decent scoring chances.

i dont like that system with barca. everything is good until the final 30 yards. no penetration. its little eto'o by himself up top. than everyone else spread out behind him. i think hes better going at dudes with pace. not as a point man to hold that ball up. thats a formation you play with the drogbas, tonis, rudds, ects. of the footballing world.

spain and holland have great squads in tournaments but always choke

i lived in england and trust me when i say that they put club before country

^ Hah truue. Buuuut, if you look at it, a lot of the key players on those teams ARE Italian. I think every member of the Italian World Cup winning team was playing in Italy. There is an abundance of young talent in Italy these days too.

i have a feeling liverpool may win this game by a goal to nil. this is their only thing to play for and they just love to beat chelsea in the champions league.

I hope we meet Liverpool in the final, that would be amazing. If we beat them it would give us 50 years or so of bragging rights. On the otehr hand we could lose and maybe never be allowed to live it down.
Barcelona were technically better, but the same is said for Arsenal and they have a problem with scorind goals at times as well. Neat passing moves are pleasing to the eye, but so is a top corner goal from 25yards out, maybe more so.

As for England, Lippi was right. When the top division is made of 36% of home nationals, it can fuck with the continuity on the international stage. Capello has to make some hard decisions too, using a 4-5-1 may well be a system that is gonna take a while for the players to adapt to, particularly Rooney.

england has quality players, if i was goin up against the english squad i would be shook!!
and now they have a good coach, and they will play better and do well

england has won 1 major tourny. world cup on home soil in 66. made one semi final apperance in a major tourney. have missed 3 euros and 3 world cups in the last 30ish years. havent been past the quarters in a major tourny in a while. for the nation that invented football, and has such good players, that is rather poor.
