You are aware of course that football aka soccer. Is the most followed sport in the world for example the world cup usually manages to attract twice the audience of the olympics and is the most viewed event (sporting or otherwise) in the world. Whilst American footballs main event the superbowl XXXXXIIIIIVVV (or whatever fucking number they are up to) is only watched because of the halftime show and awesome ads (woo). Also American football has an incredible amount of stoppages that quite frankly ruin the game. So in summation NFL is a sport played purely in America oh and CANADA and garners a superbowl audience of approx over 100 million people. Whilst the world cup attracts an audience of 30 billion. Might I also add that NFL is basically a shit version of rugby with pads.

People watch the World Cup when all teams compete because all fans from all different leagues watch.
But the Euroleague? That shit doesn't do ratings like the Super Bowl.
