it's all silver age stuff, but i love kirby and he does the thor issues (which are the origins of the inhumans) and alot of the amazing adventures stories (which i own #1-2 of in seriously fucked up condition)...actually the art on the book in general is high quality

was necrosha #1 any good? completely slipped my mind, i may just wait on the collection...the 'utopia' collection coming out includes the crossover, one shots, the dark x-men tie in miniseries, etc. the crossovers are pointless to buy as single issues almost.

and btw...im lovin new avengers...its like..THE avengers comic...i feel like Dar Avengers is like the reality show version, where as in new..lots of action, fantastic pencils. secret warriors was dope too.

^^^secret warriors was too fast imo, the story was good, but i was more intrigued with fury's cyborg homey talking to the i'm assuming hydra agent in the department of the treasury.

i bought the unseen #1....the art is the weird, grotesque and exagerrated stuff you expect from jones...the writing was a little to melodramatic and on the nose for my test...i may buy the inevitable trade though.

i bought x-men forever #1 it was pretty terrible...and i was psyched for the book, but the scripting plus grummet's art made it a turn-off...did claremont follow through on having the sabretooth that was in mutant massacre and stuff be a clone made by sinister? that was originally his intention

i went back to the shop today and i got new avengers which was great (i actually had to get 57 too, i hadn't realized i missed last month also), spider-woman #2...not so great lol, and batman 692...daniel's art is great but the script could use work...plus black mask's new look is shit lol but i like the villainous cast he's assembled here, his page layouts are nice and the coloring is a definite improvement over the bagley issues...and ignition city #5 and ultimate armor wars #2 for the warren ellis goodness

oh and that sandman the dream hunters hardcover is a beautiful book, even if you've read the prose version with the japanese illustrations this is a nice book.

i think his art alternates between gorgeously moody and incomprehensibly muddy...but he always has a few pages/panels every issue that are awesome

spider-woman 2 was just too slow...it was fine for what it was, but bendis needs to stop the decompression, as far as i can tell comics are moving away from that now anyway; regardless, it's lame and a waste of money to pay 3.00 for 2-3 scenes of a movie basically...new avengers was compelling though, maybe because i read 2 issues instead of one and i was holding a freshly burning j....weed and comics kids; you don't need weed to enjoy it, just to enhance it

who's the jewish villain in batman? is that the reaper from batman:year two?

^^^avoid the last few storylines, the series has a shitty and disappointing ending...but it's still one of the only things i like by milligan (along with x-statix)
