are YOU kidding. Wisconsin is a solid program. Illinois has been good, Iowa has had its years. Michigan State is solid this year

I mean UM, OSU and PSU are teh top three every year, than you got the second level like MSU, Wisky, ILL, IOWA.

Im not saying USC aint good, but there conference is far inferior to the SEC, Big 12 and Big 10.

Conference strength goes in cycles. This year, the Big 12 is the toughest, a year ago it was the SEC, the year before it was the Big 10.

Last year, the Pac 10 had Oregon, but still. Aside from USC, none of those schools are big time programs.
Closest they come is UCLA.

The BCS got it right with Texas being the highest-ranked one-loss team. Tech is gonna loose one of the games between either OSU or OU but if they don't they do deserve to be ranked #1 in the land.

Where's the love for other undefeated teams like number 9 Boise St? Number 10 Utah? And number 16 Ball St.?

Right...but than again, Boise state pulled off the upset, even tho Hawaii got crushed by Georgia (maybe thats why they were hyped so much this year)..

idk why you can't have a playoff in college, take the top twelve teams and seed 'em out, have the same structure as the NFL with bye-weeks for the top four teams and let everyone see whats up

it could work so beautifully too. I really dont kno what the problem is. They are worried about the bowl money.

The four BCS bowls (Orange, Rose, Sugar, Fiesta) get the 'final four' teams and on a rotating basis each gets the National championship. Just like they do now. And all the rest of the playoff games are played at home for the higher seed.
They can do away with the 12th game so the reg. season is only 11, so your basically eliminating an easy non conference team. At most you'd play 15 games...most play 13 so whats 2 more?

The rest that dont make it can go to the other meaningless bowl games taht no one watches anyway

Indeed, Split it Up and have the One and Two seeds face each other in the end if they win out. Label a couple of the finals to the final the other bowl games. problem solved, amazing ratings and money drawn in, no more bitching. It would cure all.

ots almost stupid that they still do it this way. The only major sport to not have a playoff.

Even Div II got the playoffs, so its not even ALL of college ball that operates so retardedly . Don't they see the amount of money the Final Four pulls in? That's the ONLY time I really watch college basketball but you can't deny that tournament is about as exciting as sports can get.

Hell yea. I dont watch much colege ball in the reg season unless its Ohio State or UNC/Duke.

But a playoff wouldnt even take anything away from footballs regular season. It would just make it all the better knowing that you still have a chance even if you lose.
This year is a prime example.
As a buckeye fan, I'm all the more pumped cuz if we get in, you never know...same with alot of other fans.
But supposin none of the Big 12 teams get in cuz they played in a tough conference and Bama and PSU get in cuz they are undefeated...yea, thats technically fair, BUT it still sucks.

especially when you're pretty sure your squad would stomp the fuck out of the team that happens to be undefeated. Which I'm pretty sure Texas would at this moment.

I dont kno what to make of Penn State. There defense is very good especially the Line. PLus they have a good O-Line, but im not totally sold on Clark, although he's played great. Also, im not big on their RB.
They do have 3 quality WRs.
Im pullin for them cuz i love Joe Paterno, reminds me of my grandfather.

Penn State at Iowa this weekend.

This could be an upset alert. Iowa has a great running back and they play that physical Big Ten brand that could give PSU trouble.

bama and tech alone at the top with PSU going down.

tech's got a tough one tonight and next week. survive and advance.
