what's next for Mosley?
I heard of a November fight date for these two, does anyone know if this is true??? and I hope nobody says that if cotto cant hang with Margorito then he wont hang with pac, because as far as im concerned Margorito could have very well had plaster in his gloves when he fought cotto as well as when they caught him with plaster against mosley...margo's hard hitting rep is bullshit cause he's a cheater....cotto can beat pac and if they do indeed fight it will be a good one
It's official, the catch weight is 145 I think. Pacman has the bigger split of $$. I agree with your points, I lost a lot of respect for Margacheato after the Mosley fight. The funny part is that Cotto's camp didn't really check his wraps before their fight according to Cotto's people. And IMO he cheated vs. Cotto as well. I agree with many of your points Steel. I'm going with Cotto in an upset.
Once the PBF/Marquez fight tanks on PPV buys Manny will have even more pull to get his 50%. I agree with old kainry's point about PBF's inability to sell a blockbuster fight off his own strength. Arum has said recently that Mosley would get the winner of Cotto/Pac, which would be an awesome fight IMO.
I think PBF is using the 50/50 thing to duck pacman
Vernon Forrest shot and killed in Atlanta after attempting to be carjacked. They shot him up with semi automatic weapons after he chased after them with a gun.
He was a very good fighter, never got the complete recognition he deserved for beating Mosley like he did.
It's sad, even worse was the fact his girlfriend's son was with him. He was scheduled to fight Aug. 1, too. Hopefully they catch the criminals that did this. RIP Vernon Forrest.
Rest in Peace
Rip
These deaths are starting to take their toll on me man...damn, RIP Vernon Forrest.
On a brighter note, I see Pacquiao knocking out Cotto anywhere in the last four rounds (9-12). Miguel is going to have his hands full trying to time Manny. Pacman is faster than any of Cotto's fastest opponents to date (Mosley, Judah, Malignaggi) and he's shown he can exchange punches with bigger guys as well. Given Cotto's last fight was a disputed split decision (I thought Clottey won) and Manny's last fight was second round knockout, Manny must be riding on a good amount of confidence, more so than Cotto. I haven't been impressed with him ever since the Margarito loss, he seems a lot more cautious, more than he needs to be, and he's not as destructive and brave as he once was either. I'm not saying he's shot, but he's a few steps behind of what he used to be.
We all know he's a sucker for uppercuts too, so Roach will be having Pacquiao throw those often. I don't see Miguel having so much advantages like people make it out to be, I mean, he may be stronger since he's fought at 140-147 his whole career while Manny has continously moved up, but they're practically the same size. Cotto is 5'7" with a 67" reach and Manny is 5′ 6½″ with a 67" reach as well. Where's the height and reach advantage??? Also, Miguel's chin isn't that great either...I'm not going to say it's suspect, but I will say it's light.
I don't want to NOT give Cotto a chance to win, but it's my opinion that he just doesn't bring anything to the table that would bother Pacquiao. Cotto's bodyshots & left jab<Pacquiao's straight left, right hook, in and out style, and soon-to-come uppercut.
RIP Vernon, wtf's going on?
Gatti's death ruled a suicide according to Brazilian police?
How does a man stab himself in the back of the head and strangle himself with his wife's purse. I'm glad his family is getting another autopsy when they bring his body back to Canada.
yeah that makes no sense
it looks like a cover up to me

Kelly Pavlik vs. Paul Williams is official:http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/box...ory?id=4392749
Who in the hell would pay to see Jones and Lacy??
Anyways, I have Lacy winning a SD.
^^I forgot that this was tonight. Roy should of retired after the Trinidad fight.
Lacey and Jones should both have retired
Williams is going to crush Kelly
well roy jones stopped lacy.
who the HELL would root lacy over roy, even a declining roy.
lacy looked terrible in his last few outings
at least roy gave calzaghe a few problems
roy DESTROYED lacy, thats should be lacy's last fight
Just a reminder, Mayweather will be guest host of WWE Raw this coming Monday, August 24.
Jeff had no chance vs Roy (even an over the hill Roy) and he should hang up the gloves or he is going to become an easy win (which he already is) I can see him becoming a journeyman
wow lacy. not much to say anymore
Lacy reminds me of David Reid. Good but flawed fighters. I still think Pavlik & Paul Williams goes through, though Williams is the favorite & has a good chin it will still be interesting to see if Pavlik can land a couple shots & test his chin with a real heavy handed middleweight.
lacy is not even good enough for espn well not a main event fght on espn
lacy should go back to fighting robin reid
Another controversial decision in last night's Malignaggi/Diaz fight. Boxing is getting ridiculous. Those judges must hardly watch boxing for them to score it that wrong. They need to only allow boxing in New York, New Jersey, Las Vegas, and certain spots overseas. It seems like if its not in those states, then the away boxer has to win by atleast 4 rounds to get the decision (and even that doesn't work). It's unfair and is ruining the sport. This sport is making me sick.
I'm not the biggest Paulie fan, but he gets props for how he responded in the post interview. "You know I ain't getting a rematch, this is boxing; boxing is full of shit, I used to love this sport. I cannot stand doing this. The only reason I do this is because it gives me a good payday."
The commentators frowned upon this, but if he doesn't say this, then it just goes on without notice. I hope boxing does something about this, and doesn't just push it aside.
I think one judge had it 118-110 for Diaz. While the other two had it much closer. I also wonder why they made the weight at 138. If Diaz wants to fight at Jr. Welter he should go up to 140 period. I'm not a big fan of these "catchweights". Boxing should go to the original weight classes & eliminate these Jr. & Super weights. Also eliminate these silly titles like the NABO, IBO, WBO, etc. Everyone's a champ nowadays.
clottey vs mosley is on!
^^ this should be a great fight. Props to Mosley who's fighting a guy many are trying not to fight. I think this will be a more competitive fight than Mosley vs. Berto would of been. No disrespect to Berto but I think when he fights a guy like Mosley he will get picked apart easily.
