Not really feeling the album. It has too many producers, is too disjointed, has no consistency, and there is only one song I'm in love with. The Doom beats do not match the Pete Rock or Dilla Beats, etc. It reminds of a DJ album with a different MC on each song. You may find a few good singles, but together, the album just does not add up.
That said, I'm much looking forward to the Ghost and Doom collabo where there will be some consistency.

It’s been real tough to be a Wu-Tang fan in the last several years. Only two group albums in the last nine years, the death of Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and a plethora of uninspired and bland solo albums has turned off many former fans, leaving only the most die-hard to still care. The shining light throughout it all has been the Clan’s second most animated character, Ghostface Killah, who has dropped one of the most consistent catalogues in hip-hop, period. With his fifth release, Fishscale, Ghostface keeps the Wu sound alive in a big way, with help from his Clansmen and some of hip-hop’s most acclaimed underground producers.
Despite the album’s production being outsourced to beatmakers outside of the Wu camp, Fishscale captures the vintage mid-‘90s Rza sound as Ghost contributes his usual lyrical looniness. On the hectic and hype-as-hell Just Blaze-laced “The Champ”, Ghostface stakes his claim at king-of-New-York-status, while managing to take shots at some of hip-hop’s flavor of the month, candy-coated artists. The late J. Dilla provided two of his Donuts in the form of the eerie storytelling skit “Beauty Jackson” and the dedication to parental discipline, “Whip You With The Strap”.
After receiving nearly zero Wu-assistance on The Pretty Toney Album, Ghost decides to provide us with a heap of the good stuff on Fishscale. “9 Milli Bros.” is the first track, in what seems like ages, to feature the entire Wu-Tang Clan, including Dirt Dog and Cappadonna over a messy piano loop. The chemistry is still alive, and only keeps us yearning for at least one more group album. Cuban Link brother Raekwon also helps out on the head-nodder “R.A.G.U. (Rae And Ghost United)”, a song that captures the essence of 1995, as well as on the catchy drug tale “Kilo”, and the funky guitar-licking lyrical exercise “Dogs of War”.
Hip-hop legend Pete Rock assists with the horn-heavy “Be Easy”, which finds Ghostface and protégé Trife Da God trading verses. Ghost, known for his nonsensical storytelling, reaches a new level of weird on “Underwater”, a spaced-out flute track produced by MF Doom, which discusses such issues as “Spongebob in the Bentley Coup”.
Fishscale is great from beginning to end. From the triumphant horns of “Shakey Dog”, to the bongos, chipmunk soul and strings of “Crack Spot”, to the heartfelt reflections on “Momma”, Ghostface Killah delivers the goods once again in a major way, and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

That's the thing. I love Bulletproof Wallets. It is more coherent. Fishscale is a collection of singles. It also had more top notch singles that I loved; Fishscale has one, 9 milli bros.Quote:

I agree you with you guys (Bergs, Tical2000, Ghost Deini). Ghost has the mad respect in the hip hop community that T.I. doesn't have. It's sad that many people who buy T.I.'s album likes garbage....
Just copped the official album from Best Buy for $6.99. But 4real I think Ghost's verse on Jellyfish is classic. The way he puts his references together is amazing.

Jellyfish is one of my favorite joints off of FISHSCALE. I love how he sings that hook from that oldies classic "Special Lady." That's was cool about Ghost, he throws in oldies as hooks or beats. And that my niggas is how you get a girls pussy wet by mixing it up with some smooth r&b classics.Quote:

The more I listen to Fishscale the better it gets. Ghost came back big with this album.
