i agree with this issue instead of dissing, people can criticise properly and gve their reasons why they didnt like someones album or whatever. This can also count as feedback. It would be good to see wu members come on these forums and talk with their fans.

the artists need to understand that people arent gonna like everything they put out. they shouldnt get pissed off at someone for having an honest and respectful opinion. if artists are unable to handle someone saying they didnt like their album then they need to find something else to do or just decide to always give the fans what they want.

as a mod i wanna give people a chance to express themselves but it seems that many people arent responsible with that type of freedom. there is a lot of pointless threads and a lot of negative threads in here and it is KILLING this forum. im probably gonna start bringing the hammer down a lot harder cuz man...i want members of the clan and the fam to come here and interact with us and i know you guys do to which is why there's a thread every now and then asking why wu members dont post here.

i love this site to death but on the real chambermusik is kicking wucorps ass as far as getting wu news, wu interviews, and even with artists posting on the site. and they're not even official wu. we gotta step it up.

I can agree with a lot that G stated, but I can't knock the people who express their discontent in this forum.. I can understand some of the disgruntled fans discontent, when you spend your hard earned money, you expect nothing but top notch material.. That goes for any artists music you purchase, not just Wu...

Its true a lot of people do come on here and spread hate and ingnorance....thats why a lot of the true wu fans dont appear much on here! I remember a couple years ago there was crazymadd disscusions on all sorts of different sciences in different forum sections! thats what people miss. Nowadays I dont really come on here, because I know that for it to be worth it there must be a spark of change BUT I aint about to devote my time to changing the way people act on the official Wu Tang forum unless some sort of actuall plan or movement is devised. Its all good tho, I think shit can definetly change so that a lot of good can still come out of here. 2 things I can think of that can be done to make a difference are:

1. everyone stop and think about who and what you are postin about, on the real, THINK ABOUT IT! if the thread is stupid n useless....there aint no reason for you to add on to it...its like G said, a lot of people buy into the garbage on here, but if you just let it pass by then the hate will dillute itself seeing there is no one responding...its that simple, if u dont agree with someone and you know they are the type to go all out n be on some haterade/ignorant shit...there aint no point to try to convert them or see different...its true, reality will hit them one day, but in the meanwhile all you do by posting in their topic is just adding fuel to the fire...do you, be humble and as it says in the Tao Te Ching 'to lead the people you must follow the people'

2. EVERYONE! Think about this, G this one goes to you specificly....if there was any way we could compile some sort of documentated message from some of the artists bearing the Wu flag, in which they could breakdown their understanding of what is takin place on the forums, I think that would open people up a whole lot....It would be right there infront of their face for them to digest. It would be a good contrast between all the wise guy shit talk that people experience here on an hourly basis...

I think if anyone holds a chance of effectively spearheading the idea into our minds on educating and welcoming peeps to the forum it would definetly be the ones who the actual house belongs to...then fans could definetly have an alternative to plug into and work with...who knows maybe somethin even greater could come out of that!?

and in regards to your statement it sounds like your sayin the house that Wu built got raided by a bunch of dissrespectful, immature, disstastefull shit talkin internet knuckle heads...and to me that sounds right and exact...Wu opened the doors to us and people took advantage of that. Metaphorically: peoples started barging through with dirty boots, wyldin out all over causin ruckus wherever they go like a buncha modern vikings. They forgettin about being gratefull to have been presented with the oppurtunity of 'being in the presence of' in the first place. Now if this were to happen in real life I know the Wu aint the type of dudes to just stand there and watch while gettin dissrespected in their own house. AH HELLZ NO!!! could you imagine that!? hahaha aint no way that would go down

makes one think........if this site truly holds weight of importance to them....they should activate on that and strive to mke a difference, because it definetly is possible! I know that I for one have seen thatdone on other sites and beared witness to its effectiveness. I think it would be a good project to test out regardless, what is there to lose? the fans would definetly have somethin to think about then as well.

oh yeah....and when I said 'documented message' I was thinkin maybe some audio or video being born out of the will to share on what they think about this whole bloodclot mess haha. Wouldnt take much, a couple of words on directly what they think...givin us the word on exactly what the deal is...some people just dont realize untill the hear or see it, they wont take it upon theirself to do the knowledge! I think if you got a couple wu fam artists, any of the generals or even specificly those who you said youve spoken to, to share they experience and thoughts then that would be peace! I aint trana ask for much here....I realize dudes are busy and got business's to run and I do respect that as I have been blessed by the whole wu institution countlessly over the years. but what Im sayin is like 5 or 6 mins video/audio recording aint that much...especially if its set up in advance and they do in fact carry a genuine interest in the happenings on this website. I think they would realize this as an oppurtunity for both them AND the fans to fill some gaps and learn somethin new.....also the reason why I excluded written format as 'documented message' is just because people DO tend to disscredit that medium when they see it. Alotta youts also tend to have a short attention span for reading...audio or video is easier to sponge in and in my opinion works thoro. I know that, ME, MYSELF, I definetly wouldnt mind READING what the message would be in the least bit...I usually find wisdom to extract from what the Wu say's regardless of how they comin accross anyways....so its all good either way it would be presented yo!

its a damn shame to think the artists we follow so diligently see this site as a joke.. i mean damn.. i can remember like 3 years ago, shit on the corp was intelligent, meaningful exchanges of opinions and there was a whole lot of buildin goin on here.. there was a lot of good people on here and i think they got lost when the site was goin down.. they kept the site levelheaded and you didnt see the threads then that you do now...

i think something could be done, such as havin a live chat with wufam.. or gettin a in depth interview.. but in all reality, i feel like we will probably never get that love from the wu back.. i feel like we failed them as fans, cuz really we the ones they do it for, fuck the money.. also, if you knew one of them was amongst us, postin, dont you think alot of cats would either show mad love or be retarded and ignorant.. i mean, i dont blame them and theres no love lost for them either cuz their justified to feel like we dont know what the fuck were doin here... for them to take even one day a year to come in and build with us, would be for some of us, a chance we would probably never get again..

and to the mods, yall do a great job weathering some of the bullshit that pops up on here.. but again there is some shit that needs to be done to clear the attitude in here.. we all have a good idea of the worthless, beef causin mufuckas who come on here just to start shit.. i think the mods should step in right then and there and clean it up right away, hell even ban the people who return repeatedly under different names, just ban their email addresses when they register, or try some other way of gettin the message that they have no place here...

This thread is a useful tool but I have to say that some of the ills of this forum are manifesting themselves here even though I know people are speaking with good intentions. I really don't mean any disrespect but this thread is, like alot of other stuff on here, running away with itself.

With all due respect to all that have posted on this thread, I would like everyone to take a few minutes to consider why we are here on this forum. Why do we participate here and whats the point of our participation. This is a free service. We don't pay to be on here yet Wu provide this for us from funding out their own pockets (I don't know who exactly pays but its the Wu nonetheless).................why? It is not because they want people down for a cause, they are not rying to spread the word and they aren't really trying to use this as a marketing tool. How do I know this? Check the threads..............they would have shut down a long time ago if they were using this for their own personal gain as the feedback this gives is, for the lack of a better word, disgusting. And that is the point - they don't want anything for y'all except your participation. Stop all this lets spread the word and we need to be down with Wu and all down for the cause shit. There isn't a cause to be down for and Wu don't need y'all help to be honest. They just want your participation and if y'all like the cd cop it if not start a thread and post your constructive criticism and if there is already a thread then post it in that.

yeah this would make for a shitty way to promote wu-tang with all the trash talk.

i'd say people come here because its wu-tang community where they can discuss wu-tang, get news and audio on wu-tang, and hopefully in the future get a chance to interact with the wu-tang on the forum. that wont come until people on here grow up.

i agree that this isnt about spreading the word, its more about just making this site more welcoming to everyone who decides to come here.
