I always see that in the store, it comes with a spoon.
However, it is now only legal for like a year in my country. I think the content varies from country. European countries supposedly have wormwood or something that makes you halucinate.
But nah I never tried it....does it taste like battery acid?
Naaah, no wormwoods, just some hallucinogene herb.
Nope, it doesn't taste like battery acid, it's like... like... that shit you put on wound to desinfect it. And it fucking BURNS. I tried all concentracions, 70%, 75%, 80% and 90% and I didn't like it. I even tried absynth with added cannabis. First time I drank whole bottle of water to wash that shit outta my mouth.
The trick with spoon is that you have to fill it with sugar, then melt it on the match fire, like heroin. Then you stir absynth with such spoon and then drink it. Well I didn't try it that way, maybe it tastes better.
If absynth finds its way to Alberta there will be many Cree/Blackfoot natives found dead. They love their drink too much.
alcohol in moderation can prevent kidney stones....i prefer weed ova alcohol..i got mo control less aggreassive talk less cock n the best thing ova alcohol 4 me is i dont jump in haste in any matter...mo relaxed....
the coconut alcohol known as 'Toddy' here in d equator is a good drink but it fcked me up after 12 glasses and i slept in the middle of the road lost my bike keys landed flat on d tar bruised ' slippin i'm fallin n i cant get up'....
cheap liquor has been killing my peoples, beating up their wives downfall of many families since the rubber estate dayz...
all herbs no chemicals
I'm 25 and drink alcohol regularly. It hasn't really affected me. As far as i know it kills your liver, but yet it hasn't been affected. I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure because I am overweight, but so far i haven't had any problems. So what affects does alcohol have on your health??
I have never started a thread on this, even though I have very strong opinions on it.
I do not drink. I do not like drinking, I couldn't go out with someone who drank at all.
I don't think it is good that alcohol is seen as so normal, to the extent that I am usually considered to be abnormal for not drinking.
The other night I was reading some Ayn Rand Objectionist Philosophy stuff and one of the essays summed up exactly why (more eloquently than I have ever been able to) I don't like alcohol. It said "the pleasure of being drunk is obviously the pleasure of temporarily renouncing the responsibility of conciousness."
I think this is 100% true. I have never saw the appeal of something that dulls my mind, or gives me less control. The same essay said a rational man derives pleasure from his control over reality through his efforts. I would also agree with that.
Personally, I would like to see alcohol be seen more objectively and become less prevalent in society. I think it causes alot more health issues and mental problems than the drinking majority will admit.
It is ALMOST as senseless to me as smoking.
I understand, most people don't agree with me (in society at large) but I just wanted to get everyones attitutdes, views etc on alcohol. I know there are alot of drinking muslims in hip hop... :s and there are alot of Muslims on here so I am curious to what views there are.
Also, anyone who can find anything interesting about the effects of alcohol can post it up. :b
That's another point. Caffeine....this stuff....people drink it like water.
I am VERY sensitive to caffeine. I used to drink tonnes of it when I was young and it caused alot of depression and mood swings. It killed me to give it up but I had to....now I have ALOT more control over my energy levels. You don't get something for nothing. It picks you up then drops you - all you get is dependance.
I know one girl who was told to quit caffeine coz the doc said she had the heart of a 50 yo :s
Habit and social norms can be dangerous.
Also, I agree about the socializing revolving around alcohol....
I have made a point to not participate in this...I figure going along with something is supporting it...
I don't see a problem with alcohol. I like it for the exact reason you dislike it. Letting your personality out to play a few times a month without the usual restraints is a good thing.
every substance is fine in moderation. certain substances do not allow you moderation, and that is how i define which are the ok ones and which are the wrong ones to do. alcohol is best for social occasions. alcohol is nothing more than a way to have a good time, you're much less fun when sober.
I can agree with that.
A lot of people don't know how to control themselves though I was at a party last night and this girl was about 15, still in high school I know, was so drunk she passed the fuck out while standing and was unconscious outside on the concrete. Me and some other girl had to pick her up and help her to a couch.
Another girl fuckin punched me in the eye too for no good reason.
For the longest time I would get like blackout drunk a couple times a week, drunk almost everyday, wouldn't remember what I did. That shit is just unnecessary. Last few months I've cut down to 1 or 2 drink nights a week.
its not good to drink to get drunk, i just drink to drink, like you would drink a soda
i drink, but i still think societies attitude to alcohol is hypocritical.
drinking while developing is fucking terrible for the brain, not to mention an assortment of other organs.
and long term medical effects are pretty bad to.
the key is moderation i guess, having a few beers after work to me is not a problem.
your points about dulling the mind are valid, but in moderation alcohol provides a relazing sensation and goes well with meals...
im not sure about the states, but im pretty sure its the same, in Australia getting drunk is virtually part of being a citizen. its acceptable in almost all levels of society.
however illicit drug use is still viewed as a henious crime.
its not that i dont get drunk, i just think its way to acceptable in society.
