Nas - Untitled (leak)

I'mma take a shot at this one right here.

1. Queens Get The Money
The album opens up with a no drum beat, piano loops. but Nas delivers on here, the 50 Cent diss just fuels up the fire on this track, after that he goes on here, just spitting it, showing that he stills has it and proving doubters wrong. 4/5

2.You Can't Stop Us Now
Not really feeling this joint like that, I've heard this beat so many times, it's kind of tired out, the lyrics on this joint are on point though I can't lie about that,Nas drops the knowledge on here for ,sure the singing is aiight, nothing really special about this joint. it's not wack either though. 3.5/5

3.Breathe
One of my favorite tracks on the album, this joint is like a breath of fresh air, If you banged this on the beach at night you'll be zoned out, just letting off stress, that's the point of the track, Nas is spitting some nice lines on here, I repeat this joint a couple times a day. 4.5/5

4.Make The World Go Round
This joint is actually cool, the beat is good enough to bang and, I'm feeling the hook by Chris Brown, he did his thing on here, Nas spits his usual rhyme on here and Game came through on here, he had some nice lines aswell, this is definitely a banger, nothing more, nothing less. 4/5

5.Hero
This joint is cool, the beat is on point, Nas is going in on this joint mad hard, and the beat accompanies him very well, I wasn't expecting that at all, I do have a problem with the hook, it doesn't sound all that great to me, Nevertheless this is a banger. 4/5

6.America
Nas goes in deep on here, I like this joint, the beat is cool and the singing the hook is right, You really have to listen to this joint right here to understand his message, this is a pretty solid track. 4/5

7.Sly Fox
I wasn't really feeling this joint at first till i played this joint in the car, but this kinda hits hard and Nas rips Fox apart on here, I know they pissed off at him but fuck it, it's the truth. This joint is a banger. 4/5

8.Testify
This is my favorite joint on the album right here, I know alot of cats don't even understand this one right here, niggaz is lost. I love the singing on the hook too, Nas just flows on here, and the beat is just smooth. 5/5

9.Nigger (Slave and the Master)
I like this joint right here, Nas does his thing on here, you really gotta listen on here, I know this is going to go past amny niggaz heads on here, beat is on point aswell. 4.5/5

10.Untitled
This joint is a banger, Nas definitely spits revolution on here, you can tell by the beat, he goes in on this for sure. A definite Banger. 4/5

11.Fried Chicken
This joint is cool, I like the concept of the track alot, but for some reason I find myself skipping this joint for some reason, they both spit the truth on here, beat is aiight. 3.5/5

12.Project Roach
Not Really a track.

13.Ya'll My Niggaz
This beat is cool, I like what Nas does with it he keeps it 100 , I find myself replaying this joint, I like the beat at the hook, a solid track. 4/5

14.We're Not Alone
I like this joint right here, Nas comes correct as usual , beat is on point, hook on point, he gets his message across clearly, a pretty solid tracl. 4/5

15.Black President
For some reason I'm not really into this joint like everyone else. It's something about it, I can't really pin point it, but IDK. Nothing too special. 3/5

I like this joint, pretty solid album, Nas does a good job, and the album came out at a good time, Better than that Hip-Hop is dead shit.

This is a good album. Its much better than his previous 2. Paradoxically it lacks any track as good as the highlights that those albums had. It is a proper album though with a unified sound and concept. Whats particularly impressive is that he writes intelligent and engaging lyrics that manage to stay tangible to a mainstream audience. There are some genuinely brilliant songs on here but whats more important is that it comes off as a good album, which has only happened a few times since Illmatic.

God's Son is 6/10 ?? just Made You Look with Get Down make that album at least 7/10

I love Nas' new album. In my opinion he is the best MC ever, and with this album coming at a very relevant time, I feel that he holds this legacy very well.

I still need to give it a couple more spins. I don't think it is in the same ballpark as It Was Written or Illmatic, but in my mind it is still a pretty solid record.

its his worst album musically, Nastradamas had Project Windows and Come and Get Me this doesnt have those. just a bunch of average/below average beats by some middle of the road ass producers. i couldnt even feel some of these tracks out for lyrics, the beats were so awful (Breathe, the Chris Brown joint? cmon) but i doubt he didnt deliver. Nas and GZA are 2 guys you can pretty much bank on to bring some kind of thought provoking shit

HHID was cool with me so ill be ready for his next one, but he really does struggle with beat selection. always been his sore spot since Nastrdamas/some part of Stillmatic

this is all the more strange since when nas was making illmatic, pete rock and qtip noted that he was extremely picky about beats. apparently premier had to play dozens before he finally found a couple he wanted to rock over.

what the fuck happened.... some of these beats are dollar store horrible.

on further listen it feels like half the album is really good and the rest is average..bangers are Queens Get The Money, Sly Fox, Testify, N.I.G.G.E.R, Untitled, Fried Chicken, Project Roach, Like Me and on a good day i'd say Hero and Black President as well. if he would picked these joints combined with some hot shit from the mixtape (Let's Go, Association, Cops Keep Firing, Be A Nigger Too) it would be an incredible album. still a solid effort though:

While the US is going on about the strides its made in racial relations (fuelled by Obama running for president) Nas hits back with this album. Its amazing as the timing couldn't have been better. He's not just another wannabe rebel going on about why blacks have it hard. He says real shit beyond just cliches and not only that but the cd sounds like an album. This is real time social commentary taken to another level by his superior skills as an emcee.

To me this is 10/10 but out of respect to albums like OB4CL, Hell on Earth, 36 chambers and Illamtic I'm giving this a 9/10.

This is a good album, but theres some not so great tracks on here. The album starts off well with the first two tracks, then dips a bit for the next two, then picks up again for ages until 'Project Roach'. I dunno, the album becomes pretty wack after 'Fried Chicken', and i never really listen to it.

All the rest is average to wack. 8 songs out of 16 isnt bad, and 'Black Presidents' really isnt that bad, its just the hook is really annoying, the way they use the 2pac sample, then someone singing "Yes we can, change the world" it sounds gay as hell. And n.i.g.g.e.r, is ok, but the beat is boring. 'Ya'll My Niggas', 'We're Not Alone' and 'Make the world go round' are fuckin wack gay tracks.

Overall 7/10 i think
