Why is deception harmful if one is only deceiving themselves, with only positive outcomes?

Yet, religious people and atheists cannot be respectful of each other.

Atheists, with the knowledge they think they have, are generally burdened with a sense of superiority and treat religious people condescendingly as a result.

Religious people generally treat those who do not adopt a religion as without morals and as 'spiritually' bereft.

They believe that atheism is a complete affront on what religious people believe, when in reality it is the literally the furthest thing from religion.

The two things have become inexorably linked, when they are completely unrelated by definition.

Those of 'faith' will often atheism as a 'belief' or a denunciation of religion, when in fact the term atheism only exists to distinguish an extremely diverse group people with no relation to each other.

Think about what atheism is without juxtaposition of religion... it is nothing.

The concept of not adopting a belief, being a belief in itself, is ludicrous.

However, you're confusing what these people assert with what atheism is by definition.

People generally make decisions based on evidence, there is no evidence to support religious doctrine so some people do not believe it.

There is no evidence to support the concept of a God, so some people choose to not believe in one.

Of course, we cannot know. Then again, we cannot know if we are living in a dream.

No, not really, you have no evidence to suggest it is, so therefore the best solution you can produce is that life is not a dream.

As an atheist i cannot rule out God, but i can choose not to believe in such a concept based on the complete lack of evidence.

Certainty is rarer than most people think, maybe even impossible. That doesn't stop everyone from making rational decisions based on the best possible information they can obtain.

athieism is the enemy, not the people who hold the belief (because I believe they are being duped by the devil) but the belief itself...Now think of it like this, Religious people namly christians have been commanded by God (wether you believe it or not) to go into the all the world and spread the knowledge of God to all mankind so they will know the truth !!!!!!, now on the other hand you have a totally opposite belief, which says to mankind that God does not exist at all, now these two beliefs are competeing for the hearts and minds of the people, who otherwise don`t know any better about either belief...so therefore these two competeing beliefs will naturally be enemies of each other, because they are both incompatible with each other, and are in direct competition to gain converts.

It's true that when you see the picture it sounds like the image gaven by the media is atheistic such as every thing's permitted, we can do what we want ; sexual liberty, nudity, homosexuality, a world based on materialistic things, money, the science to explain every thing, one can lie, steal and it's always OK, the atheistic ones are the cool ones and the religious ones are feeble and not cool. But I doubt that those who are in control of all this (illuminati???) are atheistic.

When I was talking about the athiests using the media...I wasn`t talking about them talking about , sex, money, cars ect.... I was talking about them reporting athiests beliefs as facts about human existance, such as the big bang, evolution, how old the earth is ect... these beliefs may or may not have started off as athiest beliefs, but today they have become an integral part of the athiest agrument for trying to disprove the existance of God.... thats what I mean`t.


In regards to why the media , is structured to project worldy ideals, values and morals and what is the point ????...it`s because in the bible it says the whole world lies in the power of the evil one (the devil), so he is structuring societies through the media,and entertainemnt industries, in such a way, that we are being force fed concepts and ideals that seek to draw us away from God, and to occupy our thought process and wants, to the point that we have no time to think about God and our wants become that of the world (cars,sex,money) rather than our wants being what God expects from us as humans or to do his will....and this will continue to get worse until a majority of society loses sight of God altogether, this might mean some will become athiests or some will just become so worldy they have no need for god in there lives at all... so we should consider these days as the good times...because it will only get worse !!!!!

All atheists are is people who don't care about the "next life" they live for this world. It's realism instead of romanticism (although atheism has it's romantic notions, there's something powerful about dying for a cause knowing there is nothing more.) There's anti-theism and atheism. They're not the same thing. Anti-theists are what Christians assume Atheists are. Anti Theists want to end religion and they're as intolerant as theists. That's the ying and yang. Atheism is without the need for God. You say no thank you and that's it. Atheism is private unless asked. You don't need to debate about it as an atheist. An Anti Theist feels a need to prove a Theist wrong. An atheist says "have fun with that."

Exactly. I don't particularly believe in God, though I do muse about the concept from time to time, and I certainly don't expect one/many or an afterlife. Dead is dead is fine with me. But if anything I'm more moral because of it. Who is going to forgive my trespasses? Not God. No I'll have to live with my actions. That's more powerful.

There's a difference between Atheism, Anti Theism, and Nihilism.

I don't think there's a God and only see religions as institutions of philosophy, not theology.
I don't think that religions are evil. I think that people are stupid and do stupid things.
I do think we live with a purpose and that is to make our offspring's lives that much better.

Sorry, but Iran had a Shah that was placed there with the help of America. There have been political tamperings with Iran by America and Iran reacted by taking hostages and having a revolution.

If atheists don`t believe in a God ,what are they subtley trying to convey to society...that religion is b.s, because there is no God, they may not be as full frontal as anti theists but they clearly have the same demonic agenda, and that is to replace God with there own idea`s about life !!!!!!!!....and yes atheists are just as dangerous to christians than anti theists...because religion is all about belief in God !!!!!, that is the reason religion exists, and atheists want to eliminate that fundemental... so intern people start to think they can get there moral guidance from other sources...and then I ask you the question what would be the moral standard for a human to aspire to ???? because without belief in God, his moral standard becomes obsolete and then everyone would be free to make up anything they wanted as a moral standard, depending on what is universally acceptable in any given society.
