7th chamber?
I would give the series 7/10. Was good even though a bit confusing in the time jumps.
Hope its going to be picked up for a second season though. Decent acting good script and a real story. And huge amount of fans. Hope they wont cancel it.
If i didn't know anything about wutang I would give it an 8/10, but it's a looser interpretation that I would have liked so I agree with 7/10. The series has heart which makes up for the acting lapses with ghost's character and dave east.
the fool that plays divine is on another level. really good actor.

Season 2 just got greenlit.
Any chance for season 1 on Blu-Ray/DVD?
I am no insider. But my guess is theyll relrase it on blue ray and dvd late this year or the year after. Most streaming services do keep series exclusive to their service to generate customers for a period of time. Around 1 or two years.
EXCLUSIVE: RZA Invites Wu Brothers To Work On Season 2 Of "Wu-Tang" Hulu Series
RZA is very thankful "Wu-Tang: An American Saga" has been greenlighted for season 2.
(AllHipHop News) So many have tried to put Wu-Tang founder The RZA into one shallow little box and he has repeatedly exceeded any limitations that might have been placed on him.
So while we know he is one of the best music producers that the culture has offered to the world, there is so much more… and believe it or not, TV, streaming, and film are just the tip of the iceberg for this icon.
RZA has been making his splash in Hollywood for years.
As a writer, a producer, and director, his vision has crafted music videos, TV shows, movies and yes now his hit streaming TV series, "Wu-Tang: An American Saga."
The series gives a partially biographical, partially fictitious snapshot of how the group came together.
The music takes a back seat, as members of Wu-Tang clan are humanized by actors Ashton Sanders (RZA), Dave East (Method Man), Johnell Young (GZA), T.J. Atoms (ODB), Shameik Moore (Raekwon), Siddiq Saunderson (Ghostface), Joey Bada$$ (Inspectah Deck) and Caleb Castille (Cappadonna).
AllHipHop linked up with RZA to talk about the success of "Wu-Tang: An American Saga" and how it felt to work with his Wu-brothers to tell their story.
“I think it's a… First of all, I'm definitely honored and feel blessed that the show was received well by the viewing public. [Because it had] enough traction on it that, we got a green light for a second season.” RZA told AllHipHop's Chuck "Jigsaw" Creekmur in an exclusive interview. “I remember sitting there with a few other peers that was trying to get their second season and a couple of my friends didn't get their second season on their show, and we did.”
"Wu-Tang: An American Saga" did exceptionally well and was one of the Top 10 most-watched shows when the series debuted on Hulu in September of 2019.
That’s pretty phenomenal for some guys from Staten Island.
That’s why "Wu-Tang: An American Saga" has been renewed. The series actually features compelling stories.
"It's a blessing in that the Saga continues," RZA told AllHipHop. "It's like a great joy, and I think it also very inspirational to the rest of the team. Because I'm the one out here in Hollywood, and a lot of the team is not in Hollywood.”
Several members of Wu-Tang were involved in the making of season 1, including Method Man, Ghostface Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa GZA and ODB's estate, as consulting producers for the series.
And RZA asked his Wu brothers to join him in Hollywood for season 2, to add more layers to the stories.
“I think [the show's success] it shows them that their talent and ideas can find a place out here. I hope a few of my Wu brothers come out, and come sit in the writer's room, and come be a part, a bigger part for season two, it could make it that much better," RZA told AllHipHop.

was Raekwon and Ghostface really throwing shots at each other like it shows in these episodes?
so, the series tell not a very real story...
I'm very late to the party on this... finally got around to starting the series a couple of days ago, I'm up to ep.6. Shit is good so far, there's a few really good actors, but a few things really throwing me off too!
The dude playing Divine is the standout for me... this guy could actually be Divine! Looks and sounds exactly like Divine!
I've seen a few people mention Power being like Stringer Bell, but I hadn't noticed that so far.
The main things that are putting me off are the guy playing RZA... how did they cast this guy? I look and act more like RZA than this fvckin dude!! Really off putting that they so poorly cast the main character!
Dave East is throwing me off too... mainly cos he looks like he's 10 years older than all the other members.
I am enjoying it, and from the posts in this thread the show is going to get better from ep.6 onwards. I'll hopefully get a few more episodes watched today.
Peace!
The Dennis/Ghost character is what bothered me the most.
^^He hasn't bothered me too much so far... I've got 3 episodes left to watch.
RZA has just dropped Ohh We Love You Rakeem, so I'm assuming they head to Ohio next when that fails? Or do they skip over the Ohio shit?
The guy that plays RZA is bugging me the most, I can't even imagine him as RZA at all, and it throws the whole thing off for me. Dave East bugs me too, but at least he has a passing resemblance to Meth so it kinda works. The dude that plays Rae is probably my favourite. When him and Meth were spitting the verses from Meth Vs. Chef it was dope.
Peace!
Is this show as good as The Get Down?

Did Joey Badass resign?

Season 2 in September.
I actually just got Hulu...would you guys say this is worth investing time into?
If you were to script the following seasons. What would be the main storyline of each season?
I'd need a Killarmy season down the line but it wouldn't do numbers
realistically speaking, maybe season 3 on the first half of the first round of solo albums
season 4 on the second half of the first round & forever
season 5 bob digi special season with all the bob digi superhero and supercar fuckery
season 6 U-God drama and Rae inventing the word Immobilarity (gonna need at least 4 episodes to explain that last one)
btw never got to see season 1. major bummer
I always thought Immobilarity came from the movie Godather 3?
http://www.mtv.com/news/1429402/raek...-immobilarity/
I remember it as an acronym. Of course, could still be a word in The Godfather 3 and as such be the real inspiration. I saw the movie but don't recall hearing the word in it.
Looked it up, it seems in the movie there was a company called International Immobiliare
https://godfather.fandom.com/wiki/Immobiliare
It's also the Italian word for 'real estate', which makes sense with the company name
Immobilarity could STILL be inspired by 'International Immobiliare', with the acronym being a backsplanation by Rae
you know, the way Junior M.A.F.I.A. was some ludicrous acronym as well

RIP mr rusev aka the lurker :W
there's a lot I went ahead and ignored first season because the 'this is cool this exists' factor was strong. But it's worn off and, idk. How are these kids professional actors? LOL
And how did you manage to find the 7.5 people in Hollywood who are not remotely aware of the group they're trying to depict? None of the characters except the ODB kid and the Raekwon kid are remotely trying to depict the character they're playing. It's made even worst when you consider that all of them have very distinct behavior and aspects of themselves that are impossible to miss if you have watched 1 interview of any of them. So as a professional actor, how can the guy playing Ghostface think he's doing an ok job? Dave East is trying a little more this season with Method Man and I understand he's not an actor by trade (one of the most ridiculous casting choices for the most visible, universally marketable member of the group btw). But who exactly are these kids trying to depict?
Out side of the horrible acting and character work (Divine is good, ODB is good, and Raekwon's good). They don't dress, talk, or rap like the era they're trying to depict at all. Who's doing costume and why, at their height of 90s nostalgia, are the missing the mark so badly? They have interviews, videos, random footage of the members and what they wore if (for some reason) the person has never seen what 'the 90s' looked like.
Then the rapping. How do they manage to deliver every line like a low testosterone, tone deaf, middle aged divorced women. This shit sounds like your low-magnesium friends turn at karaoke night. Take a fucking flintstone vitamin before your take nigga jesus. nigga said "for crying out loud, my sound is wild, so book me" lol tf?
Needless to say, the exceptionally lame kid playing Rza should be killed off.
