This movie was fucking insane!!! fucking action everywhere. bit long but i guess it had to be to fit in everything. the battle scenes are fucking sik. you can say the movie was abit over the top but i didnt mind. better than the first definetly.

I saw the film last night (sneak preview was on the 19th, but it officially opens here in Japan on the 20th), and it was absolutely better than the first movie. The same annoyances that bothered me in the first bothered me here, BUT you do get MORE screentime for the Transformers, better/BIGGER action, and more about the background of the Transformers themselves.
So, all in all, if you hated the first movie, you'll hate this one two. If you were annoyed by the first movie, but still found enough things to like about it, you'll like this one even more. And if you LOVED the first movie, you'll LOVE the sequel more. I fall in category 2 of the ones I listed.
Saw it myself last night also.
Less of a kids film than the first which is good but had lots of stupid almost toilet humour bits in it which got tired quickly.
1st hour was cool, 2nd dragged a bit, last half hour rocked.
Good film overall with some truely incredible effects! Prob give it about 8/10.

Major problems - There aren't 6 constructacons, there aren't even 7. As far as I can tell there are at least a dozen, because when Devastator is in completed form, Long Haul and Rampage are fighting in the battle while Devastator is climbing the pyramid.
When Jetfire warps everybody to Egypt, the twins and bumblebee magically appear with them, even though they were no where to be found in the scene before
In Egypt when sam and Micayla split up from the rest, they go with bumblebee. A few scenes later they are on foot??? and Bumblebee is nowhere to be found.
There is much more to be appalled at than like in this movie. There is blatant racism, stupid scenes of a sexual nature, and really really crappy dialog. Do not take your kids to see this. Not unless you want them to grow up ignorant and retarded. It's a very bad movie. Very bad.
