i guess im not a "avengery" avengers type, cause i think new avengers and dark avengers shit all over mighty. just my bullshit opinion.
new avengers line up is the shit. and i see bendis gets a lot of hate on the net, but i've been rolling with the cat since alias and i think he's taken the marvel universe to the most interesting place its been in decades.
and im digging the villians getting face time with all the solo dark avengers shit. posing as heroes but still the same pieces of shit they always were.

but i am WAY out of the batman loop. i stopped reading when morrison took over. he really brought that book to a grinding hault.

^^^dude as far as the casts of the books, new avengers and dark definitely shit on mighty. i would rather read about spider-man, cage, norman osborn, moonstone (ms. marvel) etc than fucking hank pym and hercules, and stature, but slott's stories are faster paced with wilder ideas. dark avengers'll read better in trade, the new avengers stuff reads fine in trade but month to month it seems lacking to me. but his creative direction with dark reign is interesting but it seems like there milking it, and it's like give me the end game of cap coming back and rallying all the heroes against norman osborn or wherever it's going lol

that said, check out zodiac it is a dark reign spinoff and but it's interesting it's about a new villain the art has a paul pope vibe...osborn's written well in the scenes he's in, human torch gets fucked up lol it's a low key book but it's good...he'll end up as the next hood lol

the newest dark avengers was good though, mainly for the scenes with namor and osborn, then it's sentry flying around for like 5 pages lol. deodato kills it as always...he's like a modern version of john buscema or gene colan, old school art gods.

grant morrison's still writing batman, the batman and robin book is good, it's decompressed feeling also but i like quietly's art...the art on most of the batbooks is quality, red robin i haven't read but the art's bland next to quietly, nguyen, and williams...you might like streets of gotham by dini and nguyen or batwoman in detective comics by rucka and williams...the art is awesome on that, he's a genius.

oh yeah, they're milking the fuck out of dark reign and they need to put on the breaks. its a tight story, but with all the minis and other books building on it you gotta be a damn millionaire to stay caught up.
just read cap reborn, not bad. i like bucky cap though. and i really wish some characters would just fucking stay dead already. (long sigh). oh, well.

and all final crisis did was make dcs universe/continuity a big disheveled mess again. the best thing they ever did was get rid of all that earth-1 earth-2 bullshit.but now its all back.

and i do enjoy mighty avengers. i mean, who dont wanna see amadaus cho as ant-man?

and bendis' stuff is dialogue heavy, but i enjoy the interaction between characters he writes. (spidey & cage, osborn & sentry). new avengers spidey is probably my favorite interpretation of spider-man in a LOOOONG time. son of satan & brother voodoo. i mean, damn. lol.

how the fuck is MODOK getting his own dark Reign title???????????????????????????? lmao.

I do like where they are taking Batman BUT.....shit is still mad confusing......that Sirens book is a good read......i fucks with Catwoman and Harley i think Harley is hilarious.


as far as Dark Reign.....well........yeah it is a little winded....and they need to finish this up and bring Cap back, Ms Marvel(Carol Danvers) also.......that is one fine piece of comic book ass

They want to see that they’re all connected, not like the Fantastic Four can’t come into the X-Men world, like I was told. I’m taking a meeting next week with the Thor and Captain America people, and we are all going to get together, and I will see what is going to happen. I’ll see where they are leaving the characters; it’s pretty complicated…There’s a board that is tracking what is happening…Marvel is autonomous now. It is night and day: Everyone has read every comic. They know how to make a cool movie.

Having said that, Biel looks somewhat more like Amora than she does Sif, at least in the incarnations I’m more familiar with. What do you think about Jessica Biel: more a lover or a fighter?

There’s an outside chance, of course, that Biel will be signed up for Amora and Portman will play Sif. That’s gonna shift a few posters.

Biel’s last few pictures have met some rather disappointing ends with Next and I Now Declare You Chuck and Larry displeasing just about everybody, Easy Virtue being somewhat underplayed, Nailed getting shutdown, shutdown, shutdown and then, very possibly, just shelved and Powder Blue going straight to DVD. She could use a little Norse godliness in her life, I think.
